  1. At least it’s going to still cross $100m domestically in 2 weeks. It could stIll have a soft Sunday drop (which will determine its legs. It must not drop harsh for that to to happen).
  2. Deadline and Box Office Report (BoxOffice.com) have confirmed that it is $15.8m (only including the $3.2m Thursday previews). The T/W previews are excluded, which is $1.35m.
  3. How are presales compared to The Nun (that one also opened with $50m)?
  4. Unless this movie gets no green reviews on Metacritic and Rotten Tomatoes, I'll still go see this thanks to AMC A-List in IMAX 3D.
  5. Very sad, too. It did look awesome from the trailers but the commercials haven't brought anything new. It will still open well, but I wouldn't be surprised with a 60%+ drop in its 2nd weekend.
  6. Unfortunately, no. 30 Minutes or Less and Gangster Squad were both flops with critics, audiences, and at the box office.
  7. AMC A list has been really awesome!! I've seen many Dolby/IMAX movies because of this subscription. I have never been to an IMAX and Dolby movie until I got this awesome subscription. Moviepass, as expected, never offered those premium benefits, so that was nice to enjoy them. I canceled Moviepass after they introduced the stupid price surging and when they price surged movies that had ALREADY been available for more than 6 weeks (Incredibles 2, Ocean's 8)! Because of AMC A-List, I have already seen 6 movies this month and I was able to see Crazy Rich Asians 3 times (2 times in regular and 1 time in Dolby)!!!! I saved 70% since joining in July!!!!! I look forward to seeing Venom in IMAX 3D and A Star is Born in Dolby this Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I highly recommend it if you have an AMC nearby. As for Sinemia, I've heard horror stories due to lack of customer service that AMC has. The Reddit and Twitter will explain why Sinemia has been a disappointment.
  8. It's so close to $100m. It only needs a 3.5x multiplier. Even with competition for families the next two weekends, I know it will get there even if Disney has to fudge it.
  9. Most disappointing movie of the year. The trailer and cast showed so much promise but it failed to live up to do that. Even before the controversy, it still would not have made a difference. If it wasn't for Action Point (which I hated so much and graded it a rare "F"), it would easily be the worst movie of the year.
