Yeah that doesn't feel like will happen. So like $2.5M overestimated in Germany. 465M will be tough to top since most of estimates seems like are at par though can always acts surprise and count those Thailand money that they act don't exist outside Bangkok.

I didn't like Jane as Thor when it was announced. When I heard Lady Thor, I thought Valkyrie will be the one or any other female character but Jane. Since Jane doesn't look like someone with physical strength and more of scientist type. Ofc Natalie Portman looked good in that shot, so I can just hope it is some multiversal Jane who is Thor in that reality.

May be forced is not right word. Read forced as in just put there. Also didn't meant like minorities as in race but sexual orientation. I hope they actually give them something substantive to do, as normal as they would do for any straight people, not just few seconds of screen presence. Like in Star Wars: TRoS, two random people kiss for a second or so. Would have loved if it was Rey who had a girl friend and they kissed

Yes, that's phases of sales, you gotta stick till atleast a day before release to see what exactly is happening.

I do think these roles in MCU or Disney on whole looks mostly forced. I hope they do it better.

Yes. But... That's not really how MCU work. When I was predicting DSitMoM easily doubling DS everywhere, many pointed toward how no MCU sequel has grew more than x per cent. That would may have worked if DSitMoM was direct sequel to DS. Back in DS the character was mostly unknown. In the next 4 years, his appearance in three big movies made him one of the most popular & best character of MCU, that's not what most direct sequels have. That said 190 or for that matter 185 isn't disappointing.

I don't think pre-sales went wrong in anyway. Presales suggested mid 30s previews & mid 50s, from that range was always 190-210 & it ended up on lower limit with bad GA reception.

Its even better that they separated it as Infinity Saga officially. On personal level I have decided that if Phase 4 couldn't lift it up, I will just start calling myself Infinity Saga fan. The only offering of Phase 4 I have loved is Eternals. Likes Wanda Vision, DSitMoM & NWH. Rest eh.

Midnights meant that FRI had more audiences. With THU evening starts, FRI had more audience consumed in previews. I think even without that, the fanbase is getting older, the kids in 2012 are now grown adults who can go to THU evening and there is way more spoiler hype nowdays, everyone wanna watch as soon as they can.

I think some of that SAT audience is shifting to THU. I am starting to consider possibility of flat SAT for Thor 4.

As per Mark, because you get higher % of GROSS for first 3 weeks of release in Germany and releasing on WED or TUE give you that one/two extra day with 3 Weeks i.e. 21 days. Other reason is you get a bigger number for opening weekend, even though you have deflated actual weekend for reporting purpose.
