  1. Ohh let's use this as Saudi Arabia thread. Highest grossing Indian films, Lucifer: $105k (Around 7.2k admits) Badla: $90k (6.6k admits) Getting Endgame and Aladdin numbers.
  2. That May was weird. On one hand I was enjoying Baahubali 2 mayhem, on other Aamir fans were spamming my timeline with abuses, trolling, etc. All that because I had tweeted before the release of the film 7 months back that $5mn will be great for it as it may not appeal China like PK. Boy I was wrong.
  3. Well that's what I said few pages back. That's why I prefer numbers. Somehow psychologically a 75-80/100 is better than B.
  4. Oh now I know why there is no E grade in India. All my life I thought F for Fail that's why F. Fuck.
  5. I think B as negative but 5 as positive. Just a psychatic thing; anything less than A looks a bit down.
  6. That make CBMs run even more impressive. There's an addition 1-3B that Indian films are doing now compared to almost nothing in 2015.
  7. TJB was brilliant. TLK was great script so ofcourse I expected it to be brilliant film. And to be fair it is. I had better theatre experience than FFH, just not as good as I had expected.
  8. Title Daily Gross The Lion King (2019) $21,900,000 Once Upon A Time In Hollywood $16,700,000 Spider-Man: Far from Home $3,500,000 Toy Story 4 $2,900,000 Crawl $1,100,000 Yesterday $900,000 Aladdin (2019) $850,000 Stuber $500,000 Dear Comrade $475,000 The Farewell $465,000 Annabelle Comes Home $460,000 Avengers: Endgame $275,000 The Secret Life of Pets 2 $250,000 Midsommar $220,000
  9. At this point, I am indifferent about TLK (English). The film was below my expectations, so it can go 1.8 Billion or 1.4 Billion. It don't matter.
  10. Date Nett (in ₹ crores) Gross (in ₹ crores) Gross in $ % +/- YD / LW* Gross-to-Date Jul. 19 2019 ₹11.06 ₹13.33 $1,934,000 $1,934,000 Jul. 20, 2019 ₹19.15 ₹23.08 $3,349,000 73.16% $5,283,000 Jul. 21 2019 ₹24.54 ₹29.57 $4,292,000 28.16% $9,575,000 Jul. 22, 2019 ₹7.90 ₹9.52 $1,382,000 -67.80% $10,957,000 Jul. 23 2019 ₹7.02 ₹8.46 $1,228,000 -11.14% $12,185,000 Jul. 24, 2019 ₹6.25 ₹7.53 $1,093,000 -10.99% $13,278,000 Jul. 25 2019 ₹5.65 ₹6.81 $988,000 -9.61% $14,266,000 Jul. 26, 2019 ₹5.25 ₹6.33 $918,000 -7.09% -52.53% $15,184,000
  11. From what I think, Cinemascore consider factors like "whether the candidate will buy/rent dvd/blu ray" which I think aren't many for horror and adult films. So there score is usually lower.
  12. How do getting early numbers help you if you already have money riding? I mean in couple of hours you will have actuals anyways.
  13. lol $102mn in just 3 days after $. Now that's some bull-shit. Bullshit as in the Saturday and Sunday trend was worser than SM:FFH but the next three days trend is much better. FFH did $130mn on Saturday and Sunday followed by $68mn (52%) Monday-Wednesday. TLK in SS did $159mn but $102mn (64%) in MTW. Most likely TLK 1st Weekend was underreported.
