  1. ... Dune didn't cost $200m though? I thought it was $165m, and BA seems to have cost at least $30m more than that. Dune also had the HBO Max day-and-date excuse, whereas BA does not. (Don't take this as me taking a side in this debate, just clarifying some things)
  2. Might be half-joking (and I haven't seen the movie yet), but I'd bet that it's hard to build word-of-mouth on a movie title that's hard to pronounce. I can't tell you how many different ways to say "Inisherin" I've heard over the past couple weeks. I think more people have just been calling it "the Colin Farrell/Brendan Gleeson movie," and neither of those two are big box office draws. Even if it did well in its limited release, I wouldn't be surprised if it failed to take off at a nationwide level.
  3. Couple small movies this week, hearing Call Jane on sale Thursday and The Menu on sale Friday.
  4. Workin' on it. I'm asking around, although it might still be a week or two before I get word about what it is. As mentioned, I would advise not leaning too much on the listed runtime. Regal's social media already seemed to imply in a post that it's a placeholder.
  5. By the way, Till's Thursday preview times in the places it expanded to started at 1pm! Has to be a new record. Only places it starts later is at theaters that aren't open til around 4. If you want to verify yourself, check Oct 27 at a theater that doesn't get Till until that weekend. Just make sure it's a theater that tends to be open early enough for it. @Porthos will be really "happy" if this happens for a major movie. It's... maybe inevitable, honestly.
  6. For what it's worth, a friend of mine did some seeking and found that zero AMCs are playing it this weekend. Zero Marcus theaters playing it this weekend too. I've only found one or two stragglers so far at random non-chain theaters, and I'm starting to suspect they booked it in error. Kinda odd to pull a re-release out of theaters like this when it's still making some money, no real reasoning when I don't think it costs all that much extra to keep playing it, especially when they already spent the P&A cash on it.
  7. Not to be overshadowed by another horror movie, Prey for the Devil goes on sale this Tuesday
  8. Avatar's re-release run concludes in the US tomorrow. From what I can tell, no theaters stateside are set to play it this weekend.
  9. @ChipDerby Hey, you're gonna run into some issues with Avatar on this week's derby. It's getting pulled from all US theaters come Friday. No theaters in NY, LA, etc. are booked to play it once Thursday ends. I don't think Disney will report anything for it.
  10. Another date that might get lost in the shuffle of Black Panther tracking, and one that was announced a while back (so I'm running the risk of sounding redundant, but I guess this can be a reminder): One Piece Film: Red goes on sale this Thursday.
  11. Correct. Sorry, I should've specified. Although, as Potiki pointed out, it seems to be getting extended in a few other territories as well.
  12. As somewhat expected, Disney is extending the run of the Avatar re-release beyond the two weeks that was promoted. Seeing showtimes listed for this weekend.
  13. Unsure if this was known yet or not, but it seems Ticket to Paradise tix go on sale this Wednesday.
  14. Additionally, there will be double feature shows on the Thursday preview night with BP1+BP2.
  15. I need to stick to my guns more often, but luckily I have the proof my original sources were right to begin with! Think a couple employees got confused since Regal was sent a file for Smile today for an early screening tomorrow, so it’s possible that they might’ve accidentally thought that was the movie for tonight. As an added note, since Union Square was already playing Greatest Beer Run as a general release, only that location is playing a different movie, something called The Storied Life of AJ Fikry.
  16. I just got told by someone seated on the east coast that it’s playing Beer Run. Phew, my street cred remains untainted!
  17. @grim22 @Eric from Progressive @ringedmortality The Regal mystery movie tomorrow is The Greatest Beer Run Ever. Was informed of this by a Regal manager over on a Discord server I'm on.
  18. Should I word this as "The hierarchy of power in the DC universe changes on Sep 29" or just say Black Adam tickets go on sale on Sep 29?
  19. The Quantum Leap promo actually went live on the 15th, with all the redemption limits having been reached by the end of the day. That and the code was able to be applied to any upcoming ticket on any day, so I don't think this will actually alter the results either way.
  20. Think they've hinted they have a deal to sell off Starz in the works, possible that they're at least waiting to use the money off that deal to get some of these movies released and make some profits off of them (Well, that's what they're hoping for, I'm sure). Wick 4 is the only near-surefire hit they have coming up. The rest range from certain flops to financial wild cards.
