Much of the episode was very good. Excellent fights (my favorite live-action duels since the prequels probably, love seeing a return to that fast-paced choreography), and very tense. But yeah I have a similar criticism about the last 1/3ish of the episode. -
COVID was still a pretty significant factor when AQP2 opened.

Nah, I think that is true from what I've seen. Younger audiences tend to drive a little more frontloading (not applying to family films but stuff targeting teenagers and younger adults). My guess is that younger casual viewers are more likely to just spontaneously go that day and older casual viewers would rather schedule a viewing a few days later. Would be interesting maybe to look at this systematically, though the demographic data we have tends to be somewhat irregular since its often just what Deadline decides to post.

I generally count all same day sales as walkups for that reason. But even final week works for this. Older audience targeting films tend to have meh final week bumps with all other things being equal. Admittedly it can be hard to disentangle race and age effects since those two variables are correlated.

I don't know where this idea of "old people tend to walk up" got started but most evidence suggests that all other things being equal the exact opposite is true. That said this is an original and I don't expect the genre to be very presale heavy so should have solid walkups regardless.

Best episode by far. Ending on a cliffhanger after just 28 minutes is aggravating though. Still flowed much better and the next episode should be a banger.

I wouldn't say it's heavily flawed at all. It's not perfect but very well-done.

Another decent episode, I really like what it's aiming for but the execution here still feels somewhat off, something about the character interactions and the new worldbuilding is feeling forced and it's making it hard for me to completely immerse myself. As Porthos said this episode clearly didn't give the full picture of what happened so I'm curious if the events will be shown from a different perspective later in the show.

Why are you only mad about overestimation? If you're expecting this unrealistic standard of accuracy then you should also be complaining every time he's too low. Unless you're encouraging deliberate lowballing which is just dishonest prediction.

It was ok. Master Sol is definitely the standout so far and the action has been enjoyable. The storytelling and dialogue feel a little choppy and the mystery is lacking a certain suspense. So far am enjoying this more than I did BOBF and Kenobi, less than the other shows.

I think 5m+ previews is pretty doable for BB4. At MTC1 it seems like it'll be well ahead of Equalizer 3 when it gets to T-3 where we got the first data for that. It also has an Atom deal to boost the pace.

That is normal, I think everyone is factoring it in. MCU films are more preview heavy than Pixar.

Very mixed on this. Love Fury Road, which was probably my favorite movie of 2015 or at least close...this one just kinda dragged for me. It isn't bad, Hemsworth is a fun villain and the action (though there's not enough) is pretty good, but the revenge storyline just kinda bored me and was resolved in a pretty anticlimactic way.

I saw it. Was a pretty good clip and I like the show has established its own identity and style of dueling. Speaking of... Another nice one.

10% difference is meaningful when it comes to a multi. Also omicron was fucking with things throughout the run.
