TROS could definitely miss 500. I think people are being a bit too optimistic about the post holiday holds. I think it will go to 490 or so without a push.

That doesn't seem hugely pessimistic. Friday and Saturday bumps will probably be shit compared to comps just like last week.

31.5 is where I'd expect it and 490 million full run. Although it has kept missing my projections so could go lower.

Say today is 15.5, then Thurs 8, Fri 9.75, Sat 12. Cume would be ~434 million, then if final was 482 or lower it would do it in even 16 days...

Does not make sense to compare unverified scores between eras, since verified is now the default score many trolls wouldn't bother to target the unverified. I bet the unverified score for TLJ would be a lot higher if it was released in the verified era. And so will TROS. Once you take into account fan frontloading and the score being worse for a fan-driven film than a GA affair like J3.

TROS imdb score has also been flat for a while, are we saying that the imdb score is manipulated by Disney as well? Like its predecessor, it was a highly divisive movie with the fanbase and thus didn't receive the honeymoon that well-received franchise films get.

By Christmas Eve it was at 42k, now at 76k. And since you'd expect newer votes to have a ratio that correlates with existing votes, it becomes even less suspicious. Plus the RT score correlates pretty well with the PostTrak and Cinemascore.

Simple math. The more votes there are the harder it becomes for additional votes to change the score. So it's not improbable at all. In fact many movies stay at the same score for a long time after opening.

I don't think SW should be compared with Joker or Jumanji, one of which is super dark and the other one is not really a fan-driven film. I think a better comparison is something like Spider-Man FFH which has a 95%.

Thinking it will drop to 480 if 15 holds. It has been holding way worse than Hobbit 2 and will probably keep doing so.

25% will put the SW number in normal range but then F2 will still be flat and Jumanji still at an incredible 10.8.

I would put Black Panther and Endgame on that list

What do you mean they don't have proper motivations? What the hell kinda motivations did you want them to have in order to fight a genocidal maniac who wants to kill half the universe? And IW definitely has a story, it's about Thanos reaching his lifelong goal and about how he turns the heroes' strengths into weaknesses in order to win.

I don't see why you're so worked up that some people have a different view on this (in fact most people agree with you so this is even more baffling). I think Anakin and Padme's relationship is clearly intended to be an unhealthy codependency. It wasn't his "bad dreams" that caused him to turn, it was his toxic attachment to Padme (along with other factors relating to his general distrust of the Jedi). In fact the scene you posted demonstrates this quite well, and the dialogue seems perfectly in-character for both of them. Not sure what the problem is in there. Are characters never allowed to say cringy things even though people irl say cringy things all the time to their partners?

December MCU is long overdue. I would have loved to see what Endgame could have done with the TROS release date.

Even the title gets people intrigued and the effect of WandaVision is also still to be seen. It will have a lot of buzz among the core MCU fandom (pretty much every poll I've seen has this as one of, if not the most anticipated film of phase 4). The visuals and spectacle will probably be even crazier than the first. I think the potential is there.

I think this will hit a billion. It will be the breakout IM3 of Phase 4.

Not sure it will hold that well post holiday (given that its earlier in the run so drops should be harder) but I agree with the numbers for the coming week.

I understand that. But I do enjoy the Anakin/Padme scenes. I mean, I get why people dislike them as the dialogue is very cheesy and cringe. But I find the lines perfectly consistent with the characters and setting, I guess cringe in a good rather than bad way.
