I think some of the Fri and Sat bumps are a little optimistic and not sure the post holiday legs will be that good.

At worst it will probably get close enough to push. But I doubt this will beat RO domestic or worldwide. Probably about $510 million domestic is where it's headed and at best 550 million international though I suspect it will fall below that.

Even if it holds exactly like Hobbit, it will finish at ~527 million. And it has been holding worse so far.

PT had very strong worldbuilding and from what I've seen was pretty well received in China (though market was small at the time).

Funny thing the Senate and Jedi Council parts are some of my favorite in the film. Visuals are beautiful and thematically they hit a lot of the things that make SW so powerful to me.

Well that is totally false. In fact there is not a single minute of trade negotiations in that part of the film so you just made that up.

I mean I walked out of the theater pretty annoyed and disappointed. Very rarely does a movie fail to entertain me and especially a SW movie so I feel like an F is warranted for that. And I love TPM so that's where different tastes comes in :).

Or maybe people have different tastes than you. For me this was the worst SW film by far so it really couldn't have been much worse. I'm glad others are liking it but very little about it worked for me.

I mean, I think its true that TCW has better writing than the Mandalorian (haven't seen enough of Rebels to comment). But I don't think that as much a bad reflection on Mando as it is a good one on TCW.

Yes, he would be great. He did a great job with the Mando season finale and already has blockbuster experience from Ragnarok.

Do you know if that was significantly better walkups or were presales also on par with yesterday? Because if walkups have a better pace today then it would go a bit above projections hopefully.

Plus given that TLJ had Christmas Eve on the Sunday, it really should have had a bigger second weekend than TLJ.

Scott Mendelson thinks that TROS has a "decent chance" of topping TLJ domestically.

Last three days TROS has been dropping worse than Smaug so I could see a decrease.

26+26+21, 73 million second weekend. Wonder if it gets a bump today considering it has been playing quite frontloaded over the past week.

Great episode overall and it was great to see the Darksaber again. But one thing that I don't get is how none of them have heard of Jedi. I mean I understand if they were like Han and had heard but don't believe, but it makes no sense that a Rebel shock trooper wouldn't know about Luke Skywalker. Even the blacksmith was acting like the Jedi came from thousands of years ago but the Mandalorians have interacted with the Jedi many times since then. I understand it's a big galaxy but it just felt implausible for people like them. Other than that it was awesome. They managed to get a lot of mileage from IG-11 even with little screentime. The lava river and droid were great, Gideon has a nice presence and I'm excited to see more of him. The discovery of the dead Mando's was genuinely chilling and the search for Yoda's species is a great plotline for the next season.

The Mandalorian Wars are heavily connected to KOTOR and are a big part of the worldbuilding of the game... The reason I think they would be a good choice is because some of the iconography would strike a good balance of familiar and new.
