    I don't think will ever again see a high opening movie to be also leggy. The current market just doesn't support that and trends are going opposite way. If something can outgross Avatar it's either going to be another super event like Avengers vs X-men (if X-men will be well made and well received) or some weird crossover of Dinosaurs vs Fast franchise or something completely new from visionary director with high-enough budget and curiosity factor like Arrival but bigger and better (= less complicated for GA to understand)

    That's just their thing. Look at 2012-2013 with John Carter and Lone Ranger, those two movies lost more money than Infinity War netted

    There are other studios than Disney and there are plenty of original movies every year, people just don't want to see them. Also Jeremy of cinemasins (the dude in the video) should shut up about rehashing old ideas. He did literally that for living (and maybe still does, idk)

    I think social media was nowhere near current penetration and also the economic crisis is a nice separator of eras

    EG is gonna make 30% more than closest movie from it’s era and 60%+ from third closest (second being it’s predecessor IW). Clearly a great accomplishment
