  1. Be nice to crunch numbers again. I miss it. And getting computer soon so no more posting from phone!
  2. Bb bChecking in from great white north. Miss coming in to do numbers and talk box office. I miss you guys and gals. It will be interesting to see the first movie to have boffo box office post covid (whenever that is). Be awesome if it was a small indy film just people desperate to get bacl theatres to watch something
  3. This is so surreal to experience this. With all this and production suspensions it really reminds how many movies and series are in any given time.
  4. I totally understand that. Its not a worry or anything in regards to pushback. Just wanted to put it out there. Seeing as it might be a bit before we get movies to track and talk about. Not meaning to seem insensitive about current situation, its all very real i know.
  5. So reading WB is pulling down its websites for "84 days till"? WW84 also being bumped? Anyone have more info?
  6. The impression i get too is seeing where we are with april for everything. Next month is going to feel empty as everyone sees how things play out. Reading about cinemark having a bit of a tough time, think buying cineplex when they did didnt help ( not saying theyll go bankrupt or anything). But they couldnthave forseen this i dont think
  7. So is there any thoughts black widow gets moved? No movies for amonth...going to be quiet here....just as i finally get some time to track....theres nothing to track.....sign
  8. Lessee...lets check fast 9..oh pushed ahead a year?! Okay quiet place 2.....postponed....oookay, Mulan.....postponed what in the world How about new mut...ants....again. So, um, how about those (insert sport team here)...really? Strange days.....
  9. I step out for a few days and i thought i was in wrong forum. Ive got to catch up on info now and what movies are being focussed on. Can anyone give me a quick heads up on what we are tracking over next few weekends?
  10. I dont think open thursday is in immediate future ( though hearing uk already doing this a bit wow). Maybe its because NTTD is craigs last film and apparemtly a huge running time of approx 2 hrs 45 min, maybe thats reason for some of those showings. It just seems like it could head that way, if not for all films then the tentpole big time films. Something to watch for at least.
  11. My continuing theory is that studios want to turn thursday into "opening day" for films. Perhaps the "hey thurs, fri, sat, sun" those numbers look really good for a *cough* "opening weekend". And hey that means we can do wed "previews" to add to thurs "opening day".... In the social media world i think we are headed in that direction. Just wait till if/when we get premium opening day on streaming as well. "50 million subscribers watched fast and furious 25 on opening day" I really wish i could say i was being satirical....

A family oriented film on thursday night not as busy. Still expected a little bit more for pixar film a week out. I have to wonder how much the ""its fair but average" i keep reading is affecting, that and how much sonic may have become a watch instead for some families on a budget.

The adjusted number count above only takes one of those into consideration now but im keeping possible dupe screen there JUST in case its legit and numbers go up.
  15. Cineplex "buy advance tickets for invisible Man" Okay! "Invisible not showing in X theatre on feb 27" Okay feb 28 "Invisible Man not showing..."
  16. Yesci noticed it last time too. I wasnt sure if i should add it or not. Its done it for two movies now. Ill keep an eye on it and if it continues with future updates ill definitely make note of it. Either that or theres c3a film club with 154 members splitting 2 shows lol

Another example of movies selling months in advance seems to be receptive for big IP movie franchises so far.
  18. Numbers looking good for Sonic. 60 plus would be impressive.
  19. Sonic opening to 50 i think would be a welcome opening for them given the rollercoaster of re designing the character.
  20. So it looka like Sonic in Toronto isnt getting much imax/vip screening treatment. Mostly Just regular, not reserve seating. Ill still give whatever little i can for friday but i warn speculators dont expect much lol Edit nope. Isnt worth it sadly. All shows in prestige screens either harley or star wars. Reg seats non reserved so no seat count and even odd avx i did find has no sales for friday. Toronto doesnt care for the furry guy i guess. Sorry everyone. 😞
  21. So toronto sonic numbers may have to wait till friday. Not much happening with preview thursday ( reg seating with no reserve count) and fridays im seeing theatres witone screen and nothing in presales zeroes pretty much. Toronto might not be a big place for sonic. Have to see how it goes. 😕
  22. Some thoughts and comversations should Sonic be moderately successful Will look great on studio for redesigning sonic and "listening to fans" Will this be a trend where studios send out test type footage in trailers and see if fans like look of cgi characters? Does this lead to more debate about how much influence fans are getting on films (like articles about return of skywalker). The debate might continue about fan service of a product vs artistic vision. Some fascinating ideas should Sonic do moderately well.
  23. So are the articles im reading accurate of a 34 mil opening? Apparently thurs/fri numbers total 12 mil? Wow. I did expect a bigger turnout harley/robbi fans. Gotta see how wom goes and if people see it or wait for streaming. Does anyone know if robbi extended her contract or is ss2 her last ( for now) dc hurrah? Gotta think another harley film be a few years off with after ss2 bats, wondy ,aqua sequel, black adam, shazam 2, new gods and the flash all squared up for releases. Thats 8 films.
  24. Seeing this slow trend of sales for films 2 3 or months out its almost turning into live theatre, complete with the assigned seating. Is this in part our social med Media spoiler culture having this effect? Or a way for studios to anticipate or predict a trend for a movie? The fact people are buying them weeks or months away is really intriguing. It really helps studios promote the "event" type of idea
  25. So guessingvthen 4-5 millionish opening thurs Sorry cd to hear about the daughter injury😟
