Welp just as I predicted. The movie isn't going to appeal to the GP. This score is inflated by fans/target audience as well! So it's probably around C-/D+.

His recent comment point to the opposite. Jealous people tend to lash out and undermine things that are more successful - its basic human psychology. As a film maker he should know that Art is subjective. The MCU means a lot to many people and it makes them feel tons of "deep emotions".

It's really not even a take but reality. If there was any demand for his type of movies they would have received proper cinema release. Studios just don't want to invest money into projects that aren't going to make big bucks. That's why he's upset. I've seen the Joker and based it on my own opinion.

And it's still going to be stuck on Netflix meanwhile people flock to see the next MCU movie. The jealousy is transparent. He's just upset that the days of his "regurgitated mafia plots with 0 female empowering roles" is over.

The only reason he's angry is because they are hugely successful. Using his logic Star Wars is a "theme park" as well. MCU will be forever engraved in cinematic history as one of the greatest franchises in the world. There is nothing these cinephiles can do about it.

I'd take that as a compliment. Theme park are able to trigger every emotion on the spectrum. From scared to happy and so much more. They also take a very long time to craft and perfect - very similar to the MCU.

Anyways SCORSESE is completely clueless and out of touch. He's re-doing the same gangster/mafia movie with the same actors yet again. Can he come up with something else? But I guess I'd be mad to if my movies were shipped straight to Netflix.

The target audience (white males) supporting this movie is expected. We have yet to see what other people think.

I think this movie will fall hard in the upcoming days. It's just not something that a regular person wants to watch. The Dark Knight was still appealing and had a main hero you could root for.

The Joker movie is terrible. It had nothing valuable to say. Just a cliche after cliche. Todd Philipis had no idea what he was doing. Which is even more evident when reading his terrible replies to the accusations. I can't see this movie appealing to anyone besides white men. It's as dated as "bro-humor movies like The Hangover". Comparing it to The Dark Knight should be banned.

Angelina Godlie is a movie star. She kinda botched her reputation by barley doing any movies. But she's still a draw globally imo.
