Damn, that's a pretty great start!

Yeah, this was a solid 6.5-7/10 for me. Decent characters, excellent production design, VFX (minus that one GLARING exception), and sound design. I just felt like it had no ambition. Even this "bonkers" 3rd act everyone was raving about felt...kinda perfunctory? It was over in like 10 minutes! Thankfully the film was well paced and it's the first time I can say "I felt like I was playing a video game" as a compliment. Some great set pieces throughout. But I was much less scared throughout than I was expecting. With an early 88% RT verified from 500+ reviewers, though...B+ CS incoming?

Dune 2 got a 5th rotten review, so safe to say that its peak will most likely be 97% and will likely settle at 94-95 I'd say
