SAG? the AMPTP? Both?
I do think Fran and Duncan aren't painting themselves as competent and indeed the fact they've both gone on work trips (Italy for Fran and NYCC for Duncan)
Yeah... it's not a great look.

What a clown show.

I mean did it fail them they got wga to accept a contract worth half what they came in looking for, they got the wga to accept an extremely high threshold residual bonus, most will never reach and they got them to cut their minimum staffing requirements in half and accept an exception where showrunners can write all the episodes themselves.
They still ultimately had to make a deal instead of waiting for the WGA to get burned out. And they ended up paying more than they would have in the original deal.

I hope this passes and throws a wrench in the AMPTP's plans.
But seriously, I can't understand the logic of trying to stall negotiations when that failed them the last time.

I can't believe that studios are doing this song and dance routine again. Did they learn nothing from the last 5 months?

I imagine the disastrous response to Secret Invasion was a factor in making them realize their tv model wasn't working.

I can't believe they aborted McCarthy before 9 months.

I think this is being taken out of context.

As far as Iger is concerned, Disney doesn't really have any better options. If they're going to get out of their rut at all, he is probably their best hope of doing it.
And just like Zaslav, Iger is in almost no danger of getting the boot. As soon as revenue in the parks goes back up and they get more sizeable box office hits, the calls for his head will die down.
Same as it ever was.

Barbie means Zaslav is probably safe for now. He's lucky that movie being such a big hit means everyone's forgotten about all his Flash boasting.
The Flash was definitely egg on his face. But I don't think Zsalav is leaving unless it's of his own volition or a story breaks about him doing/saying something heinous.

Anyone hoping all CEOs to lose their jobs will be solely disappointed.
Oh, for sure. As soon as these strikes are over, it's back to business and people will move on.

The language coming out of the WGA suggests the studios must have caved on quite a lot of things. This would mark a very healthy shift in the power balance in Hollywood.
If true, then good.

I mentioned this weeks (months??) earlier in the thread, but it bears repeating:
Drew Carey is a Grade A+++ Good Dude. 👍
I'd expect no less from a man who served in the Marine Corps.

Bit of an eyebrow raise here, this was supposed to be playing with Wish. Could be just ABC needs stuff to air during the strike, but possibly (though not likely) might indicate a delay.
I'd hope not... but it wouldn't surprise me.
