  1. Trolls 3 has the worst hold (-42%) among the 4 new releases last week prove that Wish still has some effect to the movie. If wish opened to 50m 5 days as "planned", trolls 3 would have bigger drop and potentially miss 100m
  2. I keep seeing people saying Napoleon was boring except for war sequences but I thought the movie was ok? It didn't bore me from start to finish.
  3. In all three audience-based score, HG beat Wish in Post trak and verified audience score, lose cinemascore to Wish. So overall HG still has a better audience reception.
  4. I was a bit disappointed by the Friday jump tbh, was hoping for more but again the movie literally called Thanskgiving, for sure some of the boost will come from Thursday itself already.
  5. Can't believe we lose two "supposed-locked" 100m movie in November coming from same studio. Luckily Trolls 3 is there to help the situation, I thought that movie will have a hard time going to 100m for releasing this close to WIsh. Now I know why they never take Disney seriously.
  6. I really wish it can at least do 70. Lately we have too many movies with their legs stuck at near 3 times. And it is annoying. Paw Patrol : 2.87x The Creator: 2.9x Venice: 2.97x Going to watch this movie second round tomorrow! The country music song stuck in my head since I first saw the movie. One part the songs got me emotional but one part we have Viola Davis being a scary villainy as hell.
  7. Unexpectedly male rate Wish better than female 47% is one the lowest definite recommend i have seen
  8. Whenever a movie make a profit no matter how tiny it is and generating healthy WOM, it is a success. Dropping from original HG is just making a lesser success story rather than render it to a failure.
  9. I wonder if that is the reason why it is B+ because that is the last memory you take out exiting the cinema. Anyway, BOSS hold prove that there is merit in those glowing first reaction,
  10. 10m is a bit too high. Following HOG which the preview only started 7pm, Napoleon will still fall short of 10m.
  11. - P Napoleon Sony Pictures $3,000,000 3,014 $995 $3,000,000 - P Wish Walt Disney $2,300,000 $2,300,000
  12. Should end around 180m. For a fan-driven movie to leg out near 2x with mostly just weekend showings is a respectable holds, better than some movie with full 7 days a week run.
  13. Some schools are out but I don't think that is the reason because Trolls drop more than HG: BOSS. Schools factor would have put animation drop lower than a 2 hours and half live action.
  14. No. Both will be sharing PLF including IMAX. 1 (1) The Hunger Games: The Bal… Lionsgate $5,266,808 -52% 3,776 $1,395 $49,873,951 4 The Monday's number is even higher.
  15. That is a great hold for HG prequel. Is WOM effect finally kicking in? The movie is great! I do agree the last act was a bit sloppy but the movie has enough of freshness to make you feel that two event between prequel and sequel have their moment for own interpretation and exploration.
  16. Terrible presale but this still without sign. Flash, Shazam and Marvrels flopping back-to-back, combined with the meh trailer views, it is safe to say all the good will from the first one are largely gone.
