  1. regardless of the novel. The trailer makes it out to be a YA movie. Same as maze runner, hunger games etc.
  2. £65M opening weekend for After we collided
  3. Got the trailer in front of tenet yesterday, pleasant surprise since I didn't realise there was any footage of the movie yet. At least i know it exists. I say pleasant surprise, in reality it'll be just as awful as blade runner 2049
  4. If it was somehow a "one night only" event then yeah me and my friends would pay per view the movie event. But obviously movies are nothing like live events.
  5. almost certainly just the original film. also hey Jimbo, long time no see.
  6. I'm going to have to disagree. Last year I went with 6 friends to watch Avengers Endgame on opening weekend. It was great. If Endgame had released on Disney+ for $30... honestly I think we would all have pirate watched it separately. I cannot even imagine going round my friends house to watch a movie.
  7. Joking aside, I did enjoy this. As in, I enjoyed watching the wonderful action set pieces. I would have enjoyed them more if I had felt any involvement with the characters, and even more than that if I'd been able to understand what the fuck was going on. The last setpiece is fantastic to watch as a piece of logistical filmmaking; I just don't understand any of it, why are the soldiers doing that, how has Rpatz tied a hook to them, etc Probably the weakest Nolan film I have seen.
  8. I kind of wish the sound effects and music had been turned up even more so we wouldn't have to put up with the insufferable "what would happen if one reversed the space time continuum" bullshit dialogue. I think Tenet is a comedy. When Rpatz says "Every living organism on the planet will be destroyed" and Elizabeth debicki replies "Even my son?" that gave me a good chuckle.
  9. Have to agree that single viewer is more of an issue with streaming. A group of 5 people go see Mulan in the cinema. They are not going to get together and pay $30 to watch it at one of their houses.
  10. Well someone needed to test the waters. The studios were in limbo not knowing what the market is like. Releasing Tenet gives WB valuable information which enables them to make informed decision on how to proceed with the rest of their slate. I mean yes, that is a hefty price tag for some market research. And other studios will be glad that they weren't the one to take the hit with this first tentpole. But I'm not sure it is a wholly "bad" idea.
  11. Being #1 trending doesn't make it #1 most streamed. Does it say anywhere on Disney+ website how they define "Trending"?
  12. It came up with an error for me too, but it still hides the signature regardless.
  13. they don't need to recast ray fisher as that character ain't coming back any time soon.
  14. That's crazy, here each time I go to look at tickets, almost every showing is sold out!
  15. so far, not quite as thrilling and gripping as the start of season 1. But, still everything's really good, and stormfront is fantastic to watch.
  16. Nah don't change it for me. You do you. Just couldn't see a way to disable it for myself. On the blocking settings you can't select any moderator/admin.
  17. just checked my local cinema and there's more tickets sold for the evening showing of Black Panther than of New Mutants lol
