I probably won’t go see this one. I walked out of Jurassic World and I hated the sequel. This one sounds like it’s below even those two.

I took my mom and my aunt to TG:M tonight and the regular screening was 90% full.
Everybody raved about it afterwards.

Young Justice has the best on-screen interpretation of Dr. Fate. He’s such a cool character.
The movie looks fine.

Two weeks after the home media release. Interesting.

It's insane. Don't ever forget that weeks before TG2 was released, some people at Paramount put out a hit piece on Tom Cruise trying to get him to relent to putting TG2 and MI7 & MI8 on Paramount+ after 45 days and to stop asking for additionl budget on the final MI movies.
Cruise, in his infinite wisdom, refused. If he didn't refuse and caved, then TG2 likely makes $300m less WW and same with MI:7 and MI:8. It was nearly a $1b mistake.
Having long, sustained and adjustable windows for theatrical is the best way forward. Anyone who can't see that at these studios by now needs to get shit canned.
The new South Park Paramount+ special has a rant about the people working behind the scenes of these subscription services. It was pretty funny.

Top ten grossing films of 1986. I think Crocodile Dundee was actually the big surprise of the year
1 Top Gun Paramount $176,781,728 2 Crocodile Dundee $174,803,506 3 Platoon Orion $138,530,565 4 The Karate Kid Part II Columbia $115,103,979 5 Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home Paramount $109,713,132 6 Back to School Orion $91,258,000 7 Aliens Fox $86,160,248 8 The Golden Child Paramount $79,817,937 9 Ruthless People Disney $71,624,879 10 Ferris Bueller's Day Off Paramount $70,136,169 One Disney movie and four Paramount movies in the top ten. How times have changed.
Ruthless People needs a Bluray release.

I’m seeing a buuuunch of people on Facebook post about loving the movie. I’m of a certain age but this is definitely in for a leggy run. Exciting!

What a dumbass.
The movie barely had any hand guns at all!
The reason why there are so many mass shootings in America is not because of any film - it's because of the amount of guns available, the gun culture, and the gun lobby. More and more guns are being bought which is why mass shootings happen every other day in the US. It won't stop until there is a massive surge in gun control.
But dear God, the fact that person had the gaul to try and make that comparison is just mind-boggling.
Absurd. Mass shootings weren’t even a thing until the ‘80s, and they didn’t become a “thing” in schools until the ‘90s.
That a “gun culture” and “gun lobby” suddenly became a thing in the 1990s is ridiculous.

I don't know where you all went to school, but the release MR was FAR from a pop culture moment (it made $57m total domestic, Mummy and Pearl both beat that in less than 3 days). The film did have outstanding staying power, not just at the box office but in general pop culture Without Baz's flare and the team up song, it would have been DOA. MR's long-term industry influence is felt much more strongly in the string of high profile musicals which were taken much more seriously in the years that followed. Joel Schumacher's attempts to w/ rip it off with PHANTOM OF THE OPERA a few years later w/ a hint of Zorro being the most obvious rip off attempt.
Phantom didn’t have peak Christina Aguilera on the soundtrack HENNY

I think you are really understimating Elvis as a cultural icon. He is only surpassed ashistoric figure in pop music by the Beatles. Even those who have'nt really listened to his music much know about him, and have a vague idea of why he is imporntant.
They don’t call him the King for nothin’.

Fury Road is very overrated , it barely has a plot or dialog , its looks pretty , and would make a great short film , but was mindbogglingly bored after the first half hour, its just a 2 hour car chase
Phew what a take

Moulin Rouge was a pop culture moment. It came out the summer before I went to high school. Everybody was talking about it.

I got my tickets for Sunday afternoon. I have several errands to run tomorrow and a wedding so that was the earliest I could book this one.

Of course it will be released in every territory...the only question is which format it will be in within every country! 😉
What's that? I thought "drop" was this generation's term for "being released"?? 😅
My new single, “My Single is Dropping,” is dropping.

Hopefully nothing happens to the animated DC DTV line. I enjoy getting 3-4 of those a year.

I think it's time JK realizes her disgusting comments have clearly tarnished her brand and she needs to do a George Lucas at this point and just sell Wizarding World to Warner Bros Discovery.
I mean these movies were garbage but it's clear as day that her being attached to them has effected people wanting to support anything Potter related.
That's why people also are hesitant about Hogwarts Legacy despite Rowling having nothing to do with that game at all.
Ain’t nobody give a damn about her opinions on anything.

Sharon Stone for Queen Bee!

Half-Blood Prince was rated the equivalent of PG-13 in all countries worldwide except the US for some weird reason.
And yet…Sing 2 didn’t get a G rating. Weird.

Yeah, it’s time to put to bed this narrative about modernizing the Oscars. Keep the initiative that brings more diversity to the voting block but go back to the traditional elements that kept a bit of the prestige over the years. Sure, the show could be boring, but that’s what kept this show from suffering the same fate as the Golden Globes and the Emmy’s.

Chris did a great job of keeping the show moving. He was about to go in on Will and absolutely DECIMATE his existence but he took the high road.
