I like it but at the same time don't like. If this was just a regular original clown movie then yes this looks super cool, I absolutely love the victorian themed outfit he's wearing, really sends a dark chilling vibe. However, given it's IT, it just doesn't fit for me. Curry's IT worked because he looked just an average clown and thus could lure children being all friendly, it left uncertaintly for the viewer because you never knew what exactly was coming. With this clown looking lethal and deadly, I can't envision how he's going to be able to lure or trick children. The visual for me I'll admit now is spoiled as I now know what to expect from when he gets mad.
This I can fully understand. It was something that was being discussed when the Poltergeist remake was released. Sometimes filmmakers try too hard to make something terrifying that they lose the point of what the character/object is supposed to be. Examples being the Annabelle doll or the clown doll in Poltergeist remake, they don't look like dolls you would buy your children which is what they are intended for.

It's definitely possible and humane to do a good animated movie on a small budget, but I don't understand why people who aren't Hollywood accountants get so hung up on it. If you make a terrific movie on a small budget, great. If you make a terrific movie on a gigantic budget, also great

All clowns freak me out, so it gets a thumbs up from me. It's not like they could have used the exact same design from the mini-series. It needs to make its own mark.

the crew felt Vin's arrogance was out of control, especially because he had a producer title. We're told he wouldn't listen to anyone and would goad people, including The Rock, by criticizing their acting.
Anything from TMZ I roll my eye at.

QuoteDoes any of us know why bro decided to jump out there with his post? No...... Would one assume that IF he's going to jump out there and generalize and say 'Male Co-Stars' he would be more clear and call out names??? Of course he should of,

My guess Scott Eastwood
Its clear it has to be Eastwood. He's the only new guy...Dwayne has never said a bad word about any of his co-stars before this.

The marketing has been awful. I've seen far more marketing for every other movie on release than GB. Not surprised it's tanking, at all.
Well schools are off from next week...so it might have legs if WOM is good.

Power Rangers started following me on Twitter, weird since I haven't tweeted anything about the movie at all.
They know who you work for....or they consider you a threat.

The future is going to be a Blu-Ray/VOD release 3 weeks after it goes below 500 theaters.
If that. It's becoming far more easier to wait for films to be released onto netflix than watch them in a cinema (the ticket prices aren't helping stop that trend).

We live in the age of instant everything. Cinema viewings will increasingly get more frontloaded as streaming services become even more dominant. The window for cinema releases and home viewing has decreased and will carry on doing so. I would not be surprised if within the next 10 years, cinema viewings are relegated to a 2 month window (or less).

Why haven't I made this joke?
FD run is amazing. I am a Pixar fan but have never understood the love for FN (I enjoy it but I don't love it). Clearly it is a modern beloved classic and this amazing run for FD shows that. I just hope there is no third sequel.

This is clearly aiming for a few Oscar nominations.

Great to see these positive reviews. Horror needs a saviour.

What can this movie possibly be about? A world of emojis where emojis are summoned to phones when users type them? But one emoji tries to break free because doing what others tell you to do is boring? So he/she tries to escape that world to find greater meaning to his existence as an emoji?
Congrats, you're a Hollywood writer.

Why should we?? It's truly a legitimate problem and for a bunch of self proclaimed box office experts, it surprises me more are not onboard for this reasoning.. Whether it was The REVENANT or AMERICAN SNIPER making it's way to the streets, the fact is that this just wasn't a shitty copy with some dude's head sticking in the way, it was a goddamn pristine copy like someone stole a fucking reel and THAT is a fucking problem for the future of blockbusters when it comes to predicting movies and the amount of $$$ they should be making as a result.. Sure, YES, CW is making a lot of $$$$.. We get it, but without that reel being stolen, without any fucking bullshit piracy PERIOD, we wouldn't have this problem.. Rant over..
Just like 95% of pirate copies nowadays. The revenant and AS copies were academy awards screeners.
All we are seeing here is a saturation of the marketplace. CA3 didn't offer that much new...not every movie is going to hit $600M.

Don't Breathe and Blair Witch look good. I suspect one of them to break out pretty big (BW, most likely).
