  7. ok we have some budget revisions :- Suicide Squad ~ 175m (been reported by a few sources now - not that it really matters as everyone has already been willing to spend the 250m i had on the budget from a previous report, so if this one is wrong and 250m is correct.. well it won't matter other than .,.... ) Pete's Dragon ~ reduced to 100m (the numbers has estimated it at 100m, though they estimated suicide squad @ 125m Plllllllleeeeeeease ) Ben Hur ~ reduced to 95m (other reports have it under 100m, the numbers quoted 95m for it) thats it really... the rest seem about right at the moment. BOM obviously overrides any other sources. if we don't get another source for Suicide Squad i'll stick with the 175m budget.
  8. Final budgets for the releases just released: Nerve = 20m (The Numbers / Variety both reported this) Bad Moms = 20m (BOM) Jason Bourne = 120m (BOM)
  9. I don't understand why they would spend that much. But it's reported at that. I'm not sure the film can even cross 100m let alone enough to makes its budget back.
  10. Top 5: 1. Jason Bourne 7.6m. Excellent opening. 80% stronger than legacy. Biggest of the franchise topping Ultimatums 6.2m ow in 2007. 2. Star Trek Beyond 1.7m/6.9m after a slow opening a 56% crash in the 2nd weekend isn't good news for 2nd sequel of the reboot franchise. Paramount have their work cut out to save this franchise. 3. Andre Rieus 2016 Maastricht Concert Movie 1.4m. A little surprise here nice ow. Prob a 1 wk wonder but yeah. 4. Ghostbusters 1.3m/10.4m another 46% dip. Not great holds but still it's made 10m. Something I think STB might struggle to reach now. 5. Lights out 890k. / 2.2m. 2nd week hold of -27%. Excellent hold. Seems to happen with well reviewed horror films. Low opening but good holds. (See paranormal activity as an example)
  11. Looking through things... (nothing final here yet of course ) (I know much of this is posting in the sub forum but just checking out things...) All references are based upon current releases only (I'll potential inclusions below) + means could move up a position ++ means likely move up the chart and possibly multiple positions - drop a position -- drop in position is likely Domestic Top 15 (Current) 1. Independence Day: Resurgence 4. Warcraft 5. X-Men: Apocalypse China Top 5 1. Warcraft 2. Captain America: Civil War 3. X-Men: Apocalypse 4. Now you see me 2 5. The Angry Birds Movie I should note that 3 films still remain to be released which someone had predicted to be in here. - Secret Life of Pets ~ 2nd August - Ice Age: Collision Course ~ 23rd August - Sucide Squad ~ TBA ? (we still have no release date and I think Olive noted in the China thread this might be september yet if at all, so anyone who picked this may get their backup option here) Around the world in 80 Days (#1 in each country) (as it stands currently) South Korea = Captain America: Civil War South Africa = Finding Dory Brazil = Captain America: Civil War Mexico = Captain America: Civil War Australia = Finding Dory Italy = Captain America: Civil War Alrighty this will do for now... but it's interesting, especially china... pretty sure no one had Warcraft as #1 there.
  12. I think we are about a week or 2 early. I'm not certain The Purge will be double yet. The Shallows is also a bit shakey on the double.FSOJ may even be half. While NYSM2 should cross 65m, it still isn't there yet and is dropping quick.. (I think it just makes it..) anyway holding off scoring this just yet.
  13. Scores Update :- Only Week 10 is scored for now (I know there is a couple of SOTM's to be reviewed. If I or Chasmmi get time soon we will post those up or confirm the posts earlier ) Exxdee still leads the weekly chart (by 7k) from Jake Gittes. However, thanks to his much stronger SOTM to date score, Infernus continues to lead overall. 15. Loving this list Baumer. Finally had a chance to read through. I think i've seen about half of what you have posted so far and heard of about a further 10 or so. (no surprises that croc dundee takes pride of place in my blueray cupboard Damn I love that film. still brilliant. not going to go through all the movies you posted but there are some gems in there that is for sure... looking forward to the rest mate! Probably still the most memorable scene from the movie...... (croc dundee) Kid - you got a light ? Mick - Sure kid (pulls his lighter out) Kid (flicks a flipblade or something) gimme your wallet! Sue - give him your wallet mick! Mick - Why ? (smirking) Sue - he has a knife Mick (laughing) - That's not a knife Mick (pulling out a rather large wicked looking knife) now this is a knife!
  16. Weekend Results 24th July 2016 : Simionski holds out in Space, now into his fourth week.... @Simionski has managed to hold onto the top spot on the chart another week with a further 126m. Each week he has been threatened but no one has been able to knock off his perch since July started. I made a run at the top this week with 109m to my name but missed like every but simionski has this month. Last weekends number 2, @BourneFan #1 dipped to 3rd with 56m. @Exxdee slipped into 4th with cool 45m. While @chasmmi and his dreams managed to round out the top 5 with a further 33m. No surprises who is leading July, i'm in there with bournefan#1, grey ghost and cjohn all in the mix for July. still a week to go though, and Jason Bourne is on target. So I'm afraid is Simionski has a 95% investment in JB. In fact i expect Simionski to lead for the next 2 to 4 weeks depending on how large Suicide Squad opens as he also has a 100% investment in that film. Is this too much of a good thing though, as Simionski has seemingly blown his budget with him well into the red zone of restrictions at the moment (before the 2 above releases are added to the list) Weekend Box Office July 22nd - 24th, 2016 TW LW Investor Title Weekend Gross % Change Theatre Count / Change Average Invested Movie Count / Active % Bank Account 1 1 Simionski $126,656,652 +79.9% 16,774 +5,158 $7,551 21 525% $436,339,986 2 3 Jajang $109,623,969 +86.2% 13,497 +4,769 $8,122 33 330% $282,177,910 3 2 BourneFan #1 $56,528,006 -5.1% 8,076 -662 $7,000 24 240% $542,911,473 4 6 Exxdee $45,251,971 +8.7% 7,324 +979 $6,179 17 215% $219,662,898 5 7 chasmmi $33,432,796 +124.1% 6,279 +1,547 $5,325 27 200% $17,829,354 6 5 CJohn $31,658,399 -42.4% 5,450 -1,184 $5,810 15 155% $826,928,020 7 4 Grey Ghost $30,843,037 -44.2% 5,089 -2,256 $6,062 14 200% $347,179,483 8 11 DAJK $12,321,429 +162.2% 2,500 +43 $4,930 23 50% $256,923,241 9 8 lucasbenica $7,851,180 -38.5% 3,057 -1,429 $2,569 20 100% $935,847,339 10 9 The Panda $3,624,935 -39.8% 1,678 -673 $2,160 9 75% $571,268,896 11 10 Wrath $1,733,672 -63.2% 1,461 -1,733 $1,187 27 100% $762,960,000 12 12 WrathofHan $17,142 -50.0% 42 -24 $408 5 0% $209,263,482 Totals (12 Players): $459,543,185 +19.7% 71,227 +4,535 $6,452 21 2190%
