Yeah he's a good actor, but he has all the same things holding him back ... people will look at him as John Blake ... he's not the 'real' Batman for a Justice League. If it's not 'Nolan' Batman Bale ... it has to be someone else entirely ... and if you use Nolan Batman Bale, you risk undermining Nolan's entire trilogy.
Bale can't play a non Nolan Batman ... people wouldn't look at him the right way ... they need to just choose someone new and either cameo him at the end of Man of Steel 2 to lead to WF or JL ... or go with a reboot right away for 2016.
This is most likely ... I mean, sure things can happen ... but with two big openers (relatively speaking) I would say limit to how good it will hold.If it did 55 million, it would likely be over 220 million next Sunday.
Yeah, I mean ... it only beat the June record ... what the fuck. This is an amazing opening.
Again, as I mentioned, with Walmart sales, BTC would have been spot on if they stuck to their guns. (Although without WM, I would likely see it reaching 118-120, not 125.
Saying it that way though implies that essentially nobody paid to see the film at that time, and it's all cheating, which is just untrue. I for one paid to see the film at 7pm ... it should all count the same. It's a record.
If it does 35 or 36 today, even a 25% drop would get the film to around 107 or 119 total.
It would be as much of a valid 119 million as Iron Man 3 making 174 million.
Sunday hold could possibly be under 15% due to Father's Day (in past Green Lantern 9%, BB 13%) ... but who knows for sure.
Example
Friday 44
Saturday 36
Sunday 31
Would be 111 + 12 million Walmart screening, so 123
Wow, that's great to hear ... I've enjoyed it each time I watched it.
BTW, if this film had opened near that 50-55 range that was a consideration at some point, we'd definitely be over 200 by now.
Batman must be in the habit of talking with his gruff voice with his mask on ... it's the only explanation for his talking to Selina Kyle in the alley that way, despite her knowing his identity.
