  1. It's releasing before most big Holiday movies except Spectre, and a month before TFA. It has plenty of opportunity to gather lots of hype and not be overshadowed when it opens. Of course good marketing would help, and LG seems to have inexplicably forgotten what that is.
  2. Assuming it acts "normal." But when exactly has it acted normal yet?
  3. Super eager to know what JW does today. If it does >14m then shit just got really real. Who knows where it will stop.
  4. A $15m Monday would put it around a $12m Thursday. +65, +40, and -30% Fri/Sat/Sun holds is all it would need to equal Avatar's 3rd weekend. But this is all assuming it were to make $15m Monday. $12-13m is probably more likely.
  5. Ah yes, I though it was decent but nothing special. At least it wasn't a huge letdown like TAOJJBTCRF.
  6. Dammit, just figured it out but beaten to the punch! Remember that crazy comedy last decade BCLOAFMBGNOK?
  7. KYA: Know Your Acronyms. #1 rule of posting here. It's going to be fun when the sequel to JW is called Jurassic War and we have to use the same acronym.
  8. Laura Dern is an actress I always forget about yet she insists on popping up every now and then to remind me of her existence. Though Wild might've finally changed that for me since I thought she was superb there.
  9. Tree of Life and Moonrise Kingdom are the ones I've seen it. The latter because they got all hot and bothered over pre-teen makeout sessions. The former because, well...ya know it was Tree of Life.
  10. I dunno, there was quite a bit of blood for a PG-13. Not sure the last PG-13 I saw that got away with showing that much blood actually.
  11. That scene is probably the only thing I did hate about the movie. And we're not alone either, I've seen others here and other places bring up the same point as you.
