The fall has proven that the box office still has a pulse! Great start for a very appealing film like The Joker! It’s Friday night should be quite interesting! And should play well. Also quite needed for Warner Bros considering It 2, Shazam, Annabelle 3, Isn’t It Romantic, and La Llorna were their only hits.

This weekend was dead. Nice to see Hustlers on the top 3! Abdominale though eh take it or leave it, it may end up being Dreamworks lower grossing films in over a decade. Joker should help out next weekend, which is nice to see Warner Bros calling out people who are against the film on Twitter, that’s something nice to see a studio do since people bitch about everything anymore.

Joker: $65 million

We shouldn’t doom and gloom yet. But at least we’ve had Downton Abbey and Hustlers do excellent this month!

Downton Abbey: The fall’s Hidden Figures/ Get Out?

Downton Abbey’s debut is quite solid! TV adaptations to films are quite a difficult gamble. Entourage is an example of it as well as Sex And The City 2 although that was sequel that no one was screaming about. However there have been some pluses such as Beavis & Butthead Do America or Sex And The City: The Movie both did really well in their theatrical runs! Downton Abbey may be hit hard in the next few weeks, it may not. It’s domestic total for now should make $85-$90 million domestic. Ad Astra in the estimates snuck past Rambo, however it’s higher budget may put the film in hurt. However Brad Pitt isn’t in doom and gloom, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is almost $350 million worldwide! Rambo: Last Blood didn’t explode anything for the weekend. It’s debut was one of Sylvester Stallone’s better action film debuts since The Expendables 2. However when ticket price inflation is adjusted this is the lowest-grossing debut in the Rambo franchise. IT 2 dropping down which is typical for a horror sequel. $215-$225 million is likely for it. Hustlers had a decent drop, and should play well for the next few weeks. $100 million should happen for it.

Abdominale: $24 million

Vice won an Oscar. Critically critics were 50/50 on it and box office it bombed disastrously.

Actuals will probably be Rambo 5 at $16-$16.6 million OW. I could see Hustlers or It 2 or both of them knock him down. If that number holds for Downton Abbey that’s excellent! It’s great to see some good box office again.

Thats possible. But Entourage had quite bland marketing. WB wasn’t too enthused about it anyway. DA should bring in an audience. It’s tv show has a different audience than Entourage. That audience hasn’t had much of film appeal at all this year(minus a few exceptions).

Great for Downton Abbey! It should be a great weekend player, as most of its audience will go Friday night and weekend matinees. Eh for Ad Astra, appealing tv spots. But it’s budget is ridiculously high and science fiction on a certain extent is rough anymore. Rambo:Last Blood don’t know the budget. But that’s an ok start considering Stallone doesn’t bring in the dough. But I have a feeling it could do Death Wish size.

Wow! Holdovers did really well this weekend! I need to check out the film Hustlers sometime hopefully in the theater or I may to unfortunately wait. The trailer looked fun as hell. It’s debut is great! Considering that Jennifer Lopez hasn’t had a major hit since Monster In Law back in 2005. Everything else was animated or did alright but nothing spectacular. I have a feeling that this could do around $100 million domestic total!

Downton Abbey: $20 million Ad Astra: $18 million Rambo:$15 million

Really good preview number for Hustlers! I really liked the trailer to the film back when I saw Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.

Well... who knows. It could sneak past $100 million or it could increase its unkown. Halloween Kills will do probably $95-$115 million domestic next year.

Horror sequels are commonly known to suffer massive declines from their predecessors. Only exceptions were The Conjuring 2 to the Conjuring domestic as that were 7.5% or 74.5%(the smaller one sounds better) declines or something of that nature, and Scream 2 to Scream 1 was at 9.84% unadjusted. IT Chapter 2 will do about $110-$115 million less than its predecessor, $215-$220 million domestic sounds like a high for it. As next weekend, it should do $32 million which would be enough for the top spot as Im thinking Hustlers will do $20-$23 million second place

Hustlers: $22 million Goldfinch: $7 million

Films that made $70+ or more. Good Boys should do it. Midsommar is successful but not a blockbuster. Crawl and Scary Stories were both better than expected hits(same with good boys).

This weekend is rough. However, Labor Day has always been dead. The most lively Labor Day were both 2012 and 2013. over 15-20 films over a $1 million in 2013, and that crazy turnout of One Direction: This Is Us and Instructions Not Included doing very successful for a little release. 2012 was primarily the decent success of The Possession, although not a very good movie decent turnout for a horror film during a rut year for horror films at the box office. 2015 even had War Room holding up just fine and made it to the top spot! This Labor Day nothing exciting.Angel Has Fallen won but who cares.Sad to say this summer has only a few success stories except Disney. Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, Rocketman, and Yesterday were the only major successful non-sequel films this summer! I know 2019 is in a rut. However, Fall 2019 could do anything. I don’t think theaters are dying, it’s just studios don’t know how to compete with Disney this year.

It’s budget is over $90 million. International markets would help it. Also Fox(minus Disney merger) has been in a rough patch this year minus Breakthough doing profitable.
