  1. Good Sat jump for Snowpiercer, and only 25% Sat-Sat drop. I'm still rooting for 10M. The Flu has previews pretty far out, that's a quite good number I guess.
  2. I was hoping and still rooting that it would pass that. Next week local release The Flu looks interesting, I think it could hurt Snowpiercer.
  3. Then if we went with the high end 40M, Snowpiercer will make back its budget by this weekend just in SK alone. Pretty great. I was so excited to see it when it'll eventually be released in US, but after that bullshit news.... *sigh*
  4. Actually, I think the movie already made back its budget by selling the rights to 160+ countries couple with that OW.But if we're talking strictly BO numbers, then by Friday, the total is at around $36m-$37m
  5. That would be great for Planes. And good for my BSG this week too
  6. There must be a pun police in this thread, things are getting out of hand
  7. I saw this again last night in IMAX 3D and was kinda surprised how good it looked in that format. The actions were made clearer for me comparing to the first time. Amazing actions.I like the world building of Pacific Rim, rich and detailed. Jaegers designs are beautiful. I just love every time Elba is onscreen, he got charisma and incredible presence that immediately draw me in. But like my first viewing, I found quite many cringe-worthy actings in parts from actors not named Elba and Perlman. Not a big problem this time though cause I expected it.I still had fun and I enjoyed the movie. My grade would remain B+/A-. Probably closer to A- cause the visual improved for me this time.
  8. Awesome, glad to hear that. I watched it again last night. Aside from the cringe worthy actings in some parts (never from Idris Elba though), I still found the movie enjoyable.Did you watch it in IMAX? I watched it in IMAX 3D last night and was kinda surprised that it looked good, it actually made a lot of the action clearer for me.
  9. This. My friends too comment that some sci-fi trailers these days make the movies look more or less the same: space/outta planets vs. Earth, lone hero or heroes doing weird shit heroic stuff, traveling by strange-looking ship/transportation devices. Their words, not mine
  10. How many said Yes on WWZ over 10M in Japan? That one will be a given No.

  12. 1. Thor: The Dark World2. Captain America: The Winter Soldier3. The Good Dinosaur4. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire5. Wolf of Wall Street6. Gravity7. American Hustle8. Frozen9. Guardians of the Galaxy10. X-Men: Days of Future Past
  13. With the dollar theater run starts this weekend, it could pass 288 by Fri I think. But you're right.
  14. Wow, big TC drop for PR. Gatsby already started its dollar theater run, right?Nice for MOS. An expansion during LD weekend and possible gain in IMAX screen could get it pass 290M.
  15. Thanks Olive. Grammar mistake in the name aside () that's a very good rating. I'll put it on my "must watch" waiting list
  16. -46% Thu-Thu drop for Snowpiercer. Pretty good. The Terror Live is having a nice run too, down only 30% from last Thursday. Wonder if it's any good and worth checking out.
  17. Knew I forgot something. Ender's Games looks to have potential. It doesn't appeal to me though, so that's why I forgot.
  18. Thor performed pretty well in Europe, I hope we'll be in for some healthy increases. For some reason, Thor didn't do as well in Latin America. IIRC, Thor did less than Cap over there even though Cap had bigger competitions and less appeal. I think with the exposure every one got in TA, and the popularity of The Avengers in South America, we'll see very good improvement for Thor in those territories.TDW should be able to withstand and do better than CF in many Asian territories.I think it'll have the one advantage that IM3 also enjoyed: first true big blockbuster in months. Is that right or did I forgot any other big movies before it?
  19. I think that's pretty much the list kitik. Pacific Rim, IMO, has no chance at catching up to Epic, especially before the cut off deadline. The new releases might do really well, but will not be well enough to reach those numbers in such a short time.Nice work!
  20. Wow, that's awfully low. MOS can get ready for those IMAX screens now.
