  1. I can't even begin to describe how ridiculous that statement is.
  2. There is so much right and wrong happen in this post. I'm torn.
  3. Trailer for The Flu actually looks good. Still don't feel the name though But it starred Jang Huyk and the beautiful Soo Ae so I gotta check it out when I can. From the trailer, I think this movie could do good business next week.
  4. Pretty similar I think. My ratings would be:TH3: I don't think it's worth seeing it in theater. The Heat: 7.5/10GU2: heard from my friend it was bad, will wait for DVD.The Way Way Back: 8.5/10Internship: 6/10This is the End: 9/10
  5. Enjoy the Jen's hotness :)Comedies has been mostly good for me so far this year, so I hope this one delivers. But I'll wait for your reaction to see if it's worth it.
  6. Thank you. Those movie titles sound really unappealing and kinda hilarious.
  7. Thanks. Definitely a good number. I wonder if it even pulled ahead of Percy Jackson in previews/midnights. It shouldn't though cause that movie is more frontloaded with preexisting fan base.
  8. That's very good for We're The Millers. What time did it start the previews?
  9. Snowpiercer will easily cross 5M by Friday and 6M by weekend. Awesome I hope it won't drop big this weekend after that massive opening. Are there any big new releases this week? Thanks for all the updates elfialtes
  10. :lol:The furthest I can go total nuts is 550M. That's good enough?
  11. Oh firedeep, you always go for the extreme ends, don't you? No middle ground? :lol:I'm out. I think Thor will do around 400M-450M OS with pretty good chance at 500M.
  12. I made the assumption base on the jump in gross and TC. Then I checked and revised my statement a few posts above. I can't find it at any of my local dollar theaters either, so just normal theater expansion I suppose.
  13. The way I see it, you have to get all six within 5% that will let you win points for each movie, and the bonus. You'll get a total of 40k points. If you go for all six, and get even just one out of the 5% range, you lose 10k on top of the points you would lose for however many movies you miss the 7.5% range. For example:TC (within 5%) DM2 ( within 5%) GU2 (within 7.5%)Wolverine (miss more than 7.5%)TH (miss more than 7.5%)PR (within 7.5%)The above situation will cost you -10k plus -5k for Wolvie and -5k for TH; losing a total of 20k.And the bonus I think has no bearing on the actual question. You could lose points in bonus but get 10k on the main question if calling the right movie. That's how I interpret the question. How's that, B?
  14. I read the article, apparently the reason they wanna cut so much is because they think some parts of American audience are too dumb to understand a sci-fi thriller like this one. I have no words.20 min of material being cut involved mostly character details that would introduce and effectively outline the world the movie built. Basically, it will be turn into a simple action movie. It's a really laughable matter, such bullshit reasons. Ugh!
  15. Yup, just like what you suspected and told me a few months ago. Boooooo. What the hell is so big a problem that they cut out 20 min of the movie? Seriously, 20 minutes :angry:I really wanna watch it in theater when it's finally released, but I wonder now if it's worth it, maybe I should just wait to see the full, uncut version somewhere else.
  16. What are some bigger movies that Universal can submit? I don't think there's anything worthwhile. No love for the minions in China? They can kinda be like talking animals.
  17. I worded that wrongly, meant to say no wonder why there's such a big gap, drop off in gross between FF6 and PR. I know about loss of screens, huge drop with new releases and such, but the average ticket price really make a big difference too.
  18. Average ticket price for FF6 is only $5.3? Dang, no wonder if dropped so much. Great for PR
  19. When you look closely at SOTM11, it's quite fun. Maybe it's a bit harder on the main question cause some are too close to each other to call. You only lose 5k for getting it wrong though, not that big a gamble. The bonus, on the other hand, could get you lots of points. 5% difference to earn points, and 7.5% difference to not lose points; quite big ranges if you translate them to actual numbers.
  20. I would watch both MU and IM3 again if I can find them at a theater near me. Maybe it's just normal theater expansion for IM3 cause I can't find it at my local dollar theaters either. Not sure though with all these expansion, theater loss deals; cause for example, I read that PR loses IMAX theater, but I still see it show 4 times a day in IMAX at an AMC theater near my workplace. Gonna watch it again tomorrow.
  21. Maybe they expand theaters in time for a Planes double feature. It's Disney after all.
  22. Yes, that's why we see the increase. It added 252 theaters as well.
  23. By the end of the game, which of these films, % wise, will finish closest to the total? GROWN UPS 2 Wolverine: 145 mill Conjuring: 125 mill The Heat: 155 mill Pac Rim: 103 mill Grown Ups 2: 135 mill Despicable Me 2: 345 mill Bonus: What will those films finish with by the end of the game? If you call it within 5%, you get a bonus of 5000. If you miss the total by more than 7.5%, you lose 5000. Wolverine: 133.8 Conjuring: 135.2 The Heat: 159.5 Pac Rim: 101.6 Grown Ups 2: 136.3 Despicable Me 2: 351.7
  24. Shouldn't there still be 1hr for SOTM11?
