Tower
Nice, so Nolan is a pretty established director there. Is November a busy month for movie going? Unless it's a film for children where you want to release during summer or a big Holiday, I don't think the release date is that important really. A successful film can come at any time.

Tower
Avatar is well ahead the rest of the pack ^^" No Avengers or Frozen there, it's quite shocking! Israel has a distinct taste, Superhero films always under perform, and Avengers isn't even the biggest superhero film (TDKR and TDK made more), and Frozen made less than Tangled. looking into 2015, while Avengers and SW may be winning elsewhere, those films basically have no chance against Furious 7, which is the favourite to win next year.

The Superhero thing happesn here too. TA couldn't even make more than Thor 2. SH movies do ok for themselves, but unless they have some kind of fantasy connection (like Thor) they don't stand a chance against other movies.
Tower
The numbers.com have the OW updated for F&F7, and the series has continued increasing and has now broken the all time OW (HP8 made 1.21M): OW total % change OW % change total Multiplier Fast 3 158K 509K - - 3.22 Fast 4 424K 1.56M 168 206 3.68 Fast 5 746K 2.95M 76 89 3.95 Fast 6 1.15M 4.63M 54 57 4.03 Fast 7 1.61M - 40 - - So Fast series haven't just been getting bigger openings, they have been getting better multipliers as well. If Fast7 has the same multiplier as Fast 6, It would end up with almost 6.5M (probably the third highest, would need to beat the Smurfs which made 6.47M).
Tower
Second weekend numbers in for FF7 the entire run so far have been during the holiday which has now ended, but the numbers are still crazy high: 1.61M 4 day Thursday-Sunday 1.2M 3 day Monday-Wednesday 1.1M 4 day Thursday-Sunday Total after 11 days is 3.91M. A comparison with the biggest films since Avatar,shows how far ahead FF7 is of the rest, it will come back down to earth now that Passover is over, but it has already made enough to finish with a great total: Wk Avatar Smurfs Alice Smurfs 2 Skyfall Fast 7 release date 17/12/2009 04/08/2011 18/03/2010 01/08/2013 26/10/2012 02/04/2015 1: 858K 958K 875K 929K 660K 1.61M 2: 796K/1.97M 861K/2.41M 817K/2.24M 749K/2.37M 696K/1.61M 1.1M/3.91M 3: 735K/3.03M 652K/3.75M 716K/3.05M 532K/3.49M 531K/2.34M 4: 754K/4.12M 557K/4.88M 289K/4.24M 353K/4.25M 221K/?? 5: 731K/5.16M 168K/5.51M 140K/4.48M 62K/4.41M 231K/2.91M 6: 762K/6.25M 125K/5.67M 130K/4.66M 87K/4.5M 204K/3.4M 7: 739K/7.32M 105K/5.82M 100K/4.76M 24K/4.53M 166K/3.66M 8: 723K/8.47M 84K/5.93M 71K/4.86M 98K/4.68M 130K/3.9M 9: 633K/9.39M 97K/6.03M 50K/4.93M 45K/4.81M 63K/4M 10: 508K/10.12M 22K/6.07M 54K/5.02M 18K/4.84M 42K/4.06M TOTAL: 13.54M 6.47M 5.05M 4.94M 4.82M PROJECTED
