Modi whether good or bad got dictatorial aspirations and got humbled. We are no longer in a one party state and back to the day of coalition govts and unless BJP wants to lose power they gonna have to focus on being friendly or the INDIA bloc will  become to strong to stop.

Sikh khalistani leaders. Sorry, but such people are not needed. It doesn't bode well for the future of Punjab which is part of India. Any aspirations of a khalistan will be treated with utter disdain by both BJP and Congress. These khalistani leaders should be kept in check.

I think the issue in punjab is that AAP came in and ended up being more corrupt then anyone really soured a lot of people into wanting something else.  I think aap are done for they flopped in delhi to a bhojpuri singer lol

 

Also the great irony is the Mandhir issue was only a big issue to drive modi support as an idea but in reality when it got built, people moved on to other issues. 

 

Modi had no issue to drive voters to him like before as well. It was just "we want mor epower"

INDIA could have won 15-20 more seats with better coordination on alliance and seat sharing.

INDIA could have actually won the election if our media wasn't giving blow jobs to BJP and Modi.

They won because Punjab don't really take Lok Sabha polls seriously. Both of the guys won casually. If it were a Vidhan Sabha election, they wouldn't have won.

I agree with this. If it wasn't seen as an inevitability that Modi would win with a big majority, then there's a chance a lot of people voting NOTA or not showing up to vote might have been more motivated. 

 

It's hard to quantify for sure, but could have made a big difference in some seats.

 

The TDP alliance was formalized very very late and may not have even happened if not for the bad polling.

That and when your news source is making a leader equivalent of God 24*7 for the whole year, what space exist for opposition? 

 

If Pulwama had happened in the UPA election year, it would have led to massive negativity. Godi media came up with an imaginary 300 terrorists killed in Balakot thing and turned an embarrassment into a HUGE plus for Modi.

If Congress had a majority it be insanely corrupt and autocratic as well

 

This result is good

This. Media which is the 4th pillar of democracy has done more harm than good for the country. It had become so pro BJP and completely whitewashing their wrong doings. Hopefully, after this result, there will be some checks and balances. We need a strong media that questions every move of the government along with a strong opposition.

Just 2% votes separates NDA & INDIA. Media from last 1 year has been calling it atleast 10% gap.

 

This was a very close election but no one presented it such.
