Blankments
Interesting, reading DisneyWar, Roy Disney thought Brother Bear was a mediocre film. So did most people

Impact
Again it is an age issue-most of us who were adults when Brother Bear came out were not that fond of it.
CaptainJackSparrow
I liked Brother Bear as a kid, but I remember liking the sequel a lot more.

CaptainJackSparrow
2000 had two great Disney movies, Dinosaur and Emperors New Groove. Too bad Groove flopped, but at least it got a TV show.
mcclaine
I know you guys are kidding about Wilde but really, most people have no idea who she is. She could be BO poison or whatever but I love Olivia Wilde and watch everything she is in since Alpha Dog.

mcclaine
Of course without marketing. 2x production budget for ballpark profitability, same as always. I know what you are saying, but that rule could be apply if you are talking about US gross. Half the money going back to studios. But overseas money is a very different story. Not all countries make the same % returns. Most of them are around 30%. So it depends on how the WW gross is distributed (US% vs OS%) to know if that rule could do it here. Pacific Rim for one, is a good example.
