Dragons is having great holds every week.

Since I know nothing about Argentina, is that a good thing?

Yes! This weekend is going to hold pretty well because of the winter holidays and the next 2 weeks are going to be good too! I still think it will sell more than 1 million tickets. The first Dragon did $2.1m and Dragon 2 will do $5m+ IMO, very good increase!!!

Isn't that disappointing for Apes 2? :(

Actually no, it's more than doubling the last one. It is not number 1 because Trans4mers is holding pretty good. It fell only 40%. Even if Planes does better on Saturday and Sunday and Apes falls to the third spot that number won't be disappointing.

Such holds for TF4 are quite unusual o_o

Relieved for Apes 2 :)

TF4 has a good hold? That's so refreshing. :D

Good to hear Apes 2 seems to increase over Apes1 everywhere. ^_^

Weekend Top 5:

1- Trans4mers, 219488 admissions, -28%. Cume: 843202 admissions, around $5.5m

2- Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, 209566 admissions, new, around $1.3m

3- Los Rompeolas, 144353 adm, flat. Cume: 390463 adm.

4- Planes 2, 133454 adm, new, around $0.8m

5- Socios por Accidente, 91979 adm, new, around $0.55m

Trans4mers fell only 28% and won its second weekend!!! It´s 10% ahead of Tf3 at this stage of its run. It passed all the SH movies and it is now #4 movie for 2014 in only 11 days!! Impressive!!!

Very good OW for Dawn, the second best OW ever for Fox.

Horrible start for Planes 2, 70% less than Cars 2 last Winter Holidays. Even 20% less than the first Planes, which opened in May, not in the middle of the Winter Holidays as this one.

2 local movies in the Top 5, even though "Los Rompeolas" is the worst movie of the year, according to the reader of cinesargentinos.com.ar

HTTYD 2 falls only 10% and stands on the 6th spot. Cume: 771811 admissions, around $4.6m

Maleficent drops 37%. 1750190 admissions in total, around $10.2m
