Wild Tales is the movie Argentina is sending to compete at the Oscars, also at the Goya awards here in Spain. Good Luck!!!

I knew it. In our tv news can't stop to talk about the nomination. Also the movie is nominated for Premio Sur. 21 nominations! Local award.

The decision of the Argentinean Academy of Arts to send Wild Tales to the Oscars competition gave it a 40% boost this Thursday. It is easily going to win its seventh weekend!!!

There will be 2 new releases on the Top 5: Delirium and Gone Girl, on the 3rd and 4th position. Into The Storm enjoys another week in second falling just 36%. And The Maze Runner completes the Top Five dropping 38%.

Great result for wild tales, but looking at that chart, I'm surprised by how dominant Hollywood films seem to be in Argentina.

Do you have a yearly proportion of foreign to local films in either gross or admissions?
