The word you're looking for is awesome. And yes, it is.

That said, there are one or two scenes that a pretty bloody. But it's not what I'd call a gore-fest.

The atmosphere throughout the film is just freaking brilliant.

LOL Nope.

Ok I'll give it a try.

Nice job by Maleficent.

Anyone here remember the podcast Shawn posted before summer started? There was a guy on it who was like "90M DOM for Maleficent; no one knows the bad guy from Sleeping Beauty's name; the name is a huge turn-off"

The Fault with our Star is obviously doing great, but it's not like it is doing so much better than a film like The Vow which was a success that people didn't go crazy over.

Vow was February, when gushy romantic movies are expected to do well. Summer, not so much

I wish more movies did the end credits of the cast smiling and laughing like in Con Air.  But for really inappropriate films like Schindler's List or 12 Years A Slave

It's posts like these that make me regret my inability to like them

Both so good. Such an awesome time for that brand of actioner. Lethal Weapon, Lethal Weapon 2, Die Hard, Die Harder, RoboCop, Total Recall, Cobra, First Blood, Action Jackson, Predator, Commando, Out For Justice, etc... Truly an era unto itself. And, admittedly, I adore Last Action Hero for celebrating and parodying it.

I haven't seen any of these movies

Really?Tarantino wrote and directed Reservoir Dogs and Besson wrote and directed Fifth Element. Black had a supporting role in Predator, and I'm guessing he did some uncredited work on the script? But he didn't direct it.Getting Black to direct a reboot of Predator is more like getting Tim Roth to reboot Reservoir Dogs and Chris Tucker to reboot Fifth Element.

Chris Tucker's The Fifth Element sounds amazing
