I wonder where Wicked ranks on that list. It's got to be getting up there.

 

Wicked has made $3.7bn worldwide and is the third highest grossing Broaday musical of all time which is impressive considering it's only been open 12 years on Broadway compared to the 17 years for Lion King and 27 years for Phantom of the Opera. It's one of the most successful franchise that Universal has outside of Fast and Furious, Jurassic Park and Despicable Me and it's not been made into a film yet.
