Plain Old Tele
Pretty awesome news: Kim Stanley Robinson's MARS trilogy (Red Mars, Green Mars, Blue Mars) has been picked up by Spike and is going straight to series. The books are about the colonization of Mars and are pretty rad: they deal realistically with both the scientific vigor needed to start a small colony and begin the long process of terraforming, but also the social, cultural, and political changes that happen to the first settlers of the planet. http://variety.com/2015/tv/news/red-mars-spike-series-order-1201656112/
DeeCee
Fuck, yes. The definitive books about the colonisation of Mars. Just started reading Red Mars again. Let's just hope they do it justice. I have faith in JMS. They should really do 2 seasons for each book. DeeCee
After losing JMS this has now lost its second show runner. http://deadline.com/2016/03/red-mars-pushed-spike-tv-showrunner-exits-1201726651/ In the meantime there's this. Kathemy
Too bad about all the delays. This isn't a project that deserves shoddy execution.
DeeCee
Sorry, no news. I just realised we'll probably land on Mars before this ever gets into production.
