Kim Stanley Robinson's Mars trilogy coming to Spike | J. Michael Straczynski is the show-runner

Pretty awesome news: Kim Stanley Robinson's MARS trilogy (Red Mars, Green Mars, Blue Mars) has been picked up by Spike and is going straight to series.

The books are about the colonization of Mars and are pretty rad: they deal realistically with both the scientific vigor needed to start a small colony and begin the long process of terraforming, but also the social, cultural, and political changes that happen to the first settlers of the planet.

Just started reading Red Mars again. 

 

Let's just hope they do it justice.  I have faith in JMS. 

 

They should really do 2 seasons for each book.
