You poor, poor man.

You grumpy old man... one day you will learn.

I am still waiting for the day you show Jurassic Park to your son. He is gonna love it. I can feel it.

If anything about TA is iconic, it's Hulk slinging Loki around like a rag doll.

The he only thing iconic about JW is the joke meme of the raptors riding motorcycles. They should've put it in the movie.

I didn't even remembered Hulk slinging Loki around [emoji38] I would say that is a famous scene, not iconic. Iconic is the heroes circle shot. Iconic is Pratt riding with the raptors (and raising his hands to tame them early in the movie). Hulk punching Thor, big water dinosaur jumping, Hulk slinging Loki like a doll, T-Rex showing up at the end... all famous but not iconic scenes, IMO.

I don't feel like Pratt with the raptors is iconic... JW is not as popular here in Brasil tought.

Can't stay up much longer.

Can someone just start the Wednesday thread and quote me as the source? :)

SW does 35-37 mill and has a very small drop.

That is a country thing, tho. Avengers did way less than JW here and JW did 1/3 of Fast 7 here. Clearly here Vin Diesel and Paul Walker riding cars into the sunset is far more iconic than any of the scenes I mentioned  (btw, that is a good example of another iconic scene, the ending of F7).

What pop-culture impact? Outside of these forums, I've literally never heard anyone talk about it.

Well Ok, who actively talks about a shot from a movie besides maybe film nerds like us? But you know people have it ingrained in their pop culture conscious. Same way they do the opening shot of SW '77.

I am tempted to do it. Rth loves to see us suffer. We are addicted to his numbers. It is like crack! And he is our dealer.

When BDH stands in front of the Tyrannosaurus pen, with the flare in her hand, and it first shows its face, that is fucking brilliant.  That's the money shot.

Whats popular is the demo.

To non white male teens in my area, i am certain Fast 7 was biggest film of the  year to a lot of them.

F7 is the 3rd biggest movie ever in Portugal  (second is Minions ( :kitschjob: ) which is super weird because Despicable Me 1 and 2 both made 1/3 of what Minions did and first is AVATAR with a big difference from the rest and it is completely untouchable until the end of times).

I am more and more convinced JW is just a series of awesome/memorable money shots more than it is an actual film. That is why I can both love it and hate it.

You're from Portugal? If I remember well from my Lurking days...

I like living in a country where Avengers is the highest grossing film ever in local currency (even tought it's the second, but that shows how popular the first was). TA is my favorite movie ever (depending on the day Unforgiven can be ahead of it).

Hope Star Wars doesn't pass it here.

Yes, I am. It also says below my avatar that I am from Portugal :) (same place where below yours it says Brasil).

Biggest movie ever here is AVATAR and it is untouchable.
