NOVEMBER

A Wish for Wings That Work

"An animal with big but totally impractical dreams saves Christmas with the very thing others had mocked him for? Haven't seen that before."

BOT-Tag-2-half-stars.png

Guys and Dolls

"A totally fine re-adaptation of the classic musical. I don't have to listen to Marlon Brando's singing, so that's a plus."

Food Wars

"Funny enough for what it is, which is essentially Good Burger for grown-ups."

Santa Claus: Ultimate Badass

"Funnier than it probably has any right to be, honestly. It's longer than it should be and the joke wears a bit thin, but it's an amusing enough time at the movies."

A Black Man, a White Man

"Plot-free historical torture porn."

Sir Thymes Time

"It gets surprisingly dark at one point, and it's absolutely derivative, but this is still a fun, good-hearted animated adventure that's clearly the best choice for families during the early holiday season."

So far, I don't think you've given anything over 4 stars. The 4 star films are...

Blue and Gold

Pillars of Eternity

Can You Imagine

The Odyssey: Homecoming

Starlit Highway

Good lord, Dogs, Spark, Kingdom, and Fortnight are hopefully up your alley, heh.

I mean, every review so far has been "Better than Homeward and on the same level as Rising" so....hopefully?

Ah, but I thought Homeward was better than Rising!

Wait, shit.

I will say I can kind of tell this was a bit rushed. More grammar issues than usual for you and you follow a scene of Alex deciding to stay behind with... Alex arriving at the new place with the others.

Which bit was that? I did try to grab as many errors as I could, but I wouldn't be surprised if a few slipped under the cracks.

Wait, duh, it's the Aradun scene. I mean to type Aera's name but must have typed Alex's instead. Should be somewhat obvious what I meant reading the text around it, at least.

Okay @Spagheditary serious question...

Spoiler

If they've only just discovered there's life outside the galaxy at all, how do our heroes have information on Aradun in their database waiting to be pulled up and examined? Did they buy some kind of intergalactic Wikipedia plan?

Spoiler

Keep in mind it's been about 4 years since the events of Spark Rising, but I was kinda vague on the timeline of infinites and when they started exploring. They've been using their powers to more quickly travel across galaxies (and maybe toy with space and time) but the information would have been likely retrieved through any leftover satellites or debris, for example. So technically, it's just the infinites who have that info.

It's also probable that Qatav and Neshianu did digging of their own after the gang got back, having found new terms to go off of. Obviously, if they had all of the information, it would be pointless to go in the first place. So they had to get some very very surface level info on the world.

I think you're switching Xevarre and Alex's names around a few times here in the climax which is... really confusing

Oops. Really did need time for another editing pass, I guess.

Rule of thumb, if they try to hurt wolfie or wheelie, it's Xevarre. ;)

At the same time, I'm not seeing anything super egregious.
