Eric Slay
https://deadline.com/2021/07/universal-movie-release-dates-jo-koys-easter-sunday-distant-corey-hawkins-the-last-voyage-of-the-demeter-1234796851/ Quote Distant, directed by Josh Gordon and Will Speck, will open on March 11, 2022. The sci-fi comedy stars Anthony Ramos as a low-level mining engineer whose spaceship gets struck by an asteroid sending him to an unknown alien planet. There he contends with his AI survival suit (voiced by Zachary Quinto) and aliens. He connects with a fellow crew member (Naomi Scott) via radio, but she’s trapped inside her own escape pod, and losing oxygen as well. Pic is produced by Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Fred Berger and Anna Halberg. Speck and Gordon are also EPs with Jonathan Rothbart and Matthew Hirsch. Kevin K. Vafi is co-producer. Pic will open against Disney/Pixar’s Turning Red.
Eric Slay
https://deadline.com/2021/11/universal-dreamworks-distant-release-date-change-1234867196/ Quote Universal is transporting DreamWorks Pictures’ sci-fi movie Distant from March 11, 2022 to Friday, Sept. 16, 2022. Distant leaves behind Disney Pixar’s Turning Red on its old date and will now face off against Lionsgate’s family movie White Bird: A Wonder Story and Sony’s untitled George Foreman biopic on its new date.

Eric Slay
So uh...we're less than two months away and we still don't have a trailer. It's pretty clear at this rate the movie sucks, but are we getting another delay?
filmlover
This is clearly getting either delayed again or dumped. Given the directors have gone on and made/released another studio movie since finishing this (Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile), my guess is the latter.
datpepper
This movie has been dumped, likely to a streamer. Universal's page for it no longer exists. 1 1
CJohn
Just imagine if Universal doesn't even bother to put it on Peacock and instead sold it to Netflix or something.

Loads it onto everyone's iPhone like that U2 album.
