juni78ukr
Close battle between local comedy The Jungle and Playing for Keeps with both around $1.2m. Deadfall finished third with around $1m. Niko 2 grossed around $0.65m. Hope Springs bombed with just 0.24m. Worst weekend of the year.

juni78ukr
No, actual screen count might be available only on Wednesday or Thursday. And by the way it's rather cold now in Russia.-12...-14°С in Moscow and up to - 40°С in some big cities. In other news friends from filmpro made their prediction for all 2013 main releases. Overall, the year doesnt look that strong. In 2012 we have 6 movies with more than 1 billion RUB total. John Carter came very close to that mark. It would be really hard to match that in 2013. No strong animation sequels or action blockbusters... Edited December 18, 2012 by juni78ukr

Dont see it can tops 2012.You say that but I like what is expected in 2013. Iron Man 3, Man of Steel, The Hobbit 2, Thor 2, Kick Ass 2, Hunger Games Catching Fire and so on..Good potential here

That's how 2013 will be weak.

The number of movies over $600m is meaningless, it's all about the total. There could be enough mid-range hits to make up the difference. I don't think 2013 will be weak, some surprises can be there. Nobody expected The Avengers that high, same thing for Skyfall. Too soon to judge. A Marvel Fanboy
Nah, I always thought 2012 would be bigger than 2011. We got (and I thought) easily TA, IA4 (>POTC4), TDKR (>TF3), BD2, TH (>DH2) after all. Edited December 18, 2012 by firedeep
