Fullbuster
PR had a better start than Transformers 1 & 2, that's great for a new franchise However TF4 will be big next summer given TF3 reached $45m in 2011

Every movie site said it bombed in US and needs huge money overseas even to break even. Transformers is not the comparison. Transformers 2 had several days of previews. juni78ukr
On boxoffice main page they even compared it with War of the Worlds from 2005.
Fullbuster
On boxoffice main page they even compared it with War of the Worlds from 2005.it's not really fair given the Russian market was small in 2005,it got a fourfold increase if I remember well. A Marvel Fanboy
6% drop in first major Sunday update. Almost everything else increased. Zombies by 4%, Ranger by 7%, Monsters by 8%. Why ? PR should supposedly at least hold better than Ranger, no? Edited July 15, 2013 by firedeep

juni78ukr
Why ? PR should supposedly at least hold better than Ranger, no? Ranger is for the general audience. Pacific Rim not. The Lone Ranger is heading for 54-55% drop with 3.04 mln. I really doubt Pacific Rim can manage that next week.
