Taruseth
Weekend estimates (Monday morning): It 2: 585k + 40k Hollywood: 155k (-0.4%) (1380k total) TLK: 150k (+24.8%) (5030k) (5M on Sunday, 4 days faster than Endgame) TS4: 105k (+31.7%) (635k total, first time since OWend above 100k) Good Boys: 100k (+8.1%) (370k total, highest weekend yet) Angel Has Fallen: 80k (-7.6%) (195k total) Leber: 67.5k (+37.9%) (1090k total) Playmobil: 65k (+51.2% / +18.5%) (135k total) H&S: 57.5k (-11.8%) (1590k total) Pets 2: 45k (+68.1%) (2365k total) Mein Lotta-Leben: 42.5k (+56.5% / +33.7%) (85k total) Comp to last weekend +89%, to same weekend last year +86% Maybe I am wrong but the weather this year seriously does things to the legs. TLK and Pets 2 both have incredible legs. Even TS4's legs after an awful 2nd weekend drop are turning out alright and now I am thinking it could get close to 1M admissions. TLK easily has the best 8th weekend this year, previous best was Aladdin with 86.9k and will also have highest eight week, previously Aladdin too with 120.8k. Should also get best 9th weekend (Green Book 38.3k) and best 10th weekend (Pets 2 26.8k) and best eight week (Green Book 56k) and best 10th week (Aladdin 42k). Looks like the 8th weekend is the best since February 2015 when Honig im Kopf (started Christmas 2014) had 277k on that weekend.* Good Boys should get to 600k at least. Angel Has fallen is already past Olympus Has Fallen (144.6k) and in the end will get close to London Has Fallen (393k). Pets 2 looks like it might still get to 2.5M. * Best 8th weekends this decade (+/0/X) how many more consecutive weekends above 100k, x means a previous weekend was below 100k: Intouchables: 471k (+7) Fack Ju Göhte!: 344k (+5) Honig im Kopf: 277k (+3) Monsieur Claude: 178k (+3) TLK: 150k (0/+1?) IndustriousAngel
in Austria, Pets2 is at 300k, so official blockbuster; LionKing should reach 800k at least, very nice!

TLK would need 40k to get to 5.16M and that should mean a finish above Endgame **It's -37k due to rounding all numbers *** This hold seems both good and not so good at the same time. Weather was good yesterday and should be really great today (everywhere above 30 °C) (where I live 32 °C, next Saturday forecast is 15 °C and rain) and partly great tomorrow. And starting with Sunday evening / Monday rainy and colder everywhere. Which should make an increase possible but It 2 will open and despite TLK being #2 this weekend I don't see it holding onto all screens so it will drop because of that. While it failed to get the biggest 6th weekend or week this year, it's 7th weekend should be the biggest, don't know about 7th week but it certainly is possible due to the colder weather compared to the past weekdays. 2nd Trend (insidekino): Some changes, Hollywood down 10k as is Leber. Leberkäsjunkie is already the biggest grosser in the franchise and has still something left in the tank; Pets2 is holding wonderfully after the disaster opening, and Lion King keeps doing fine. Next weekend: with weather turning sunnier again, expect bad drops. No big openers except maybe domestic romance drama Gut gegen Nordwind (after a bestselling book) which might make it to #2 (I'm not sold on the concept - the trailer looked ok but it's a penpal romance, really have no idea if the appeal is big enough). 2

TLK really is a lot bigger than the others. Also really interesting is large gap between TLK and B&TB/AIW and then the next one to Aladdin/Jungle Book. Thinking TLK should end up 2M above B&tB, while I had definitely hoped for that earlier in the year I wasn't certain that it would happen. I won't post for the rest of September, sorry, so no new updates on anything.

Bad drops and the only opener worth mentioning stayed below my already low expectations … Next weekend: Weather won't help; it will be mostly sunny and warm and accordingly, family releases will suffer once more - among them Angry Birds 2; that one might have had a chance at #1 with rain. Among other releases, Rambo: Last Blood is the most prominent one but I'd be really surprised if this can become even a medium-sized hit, Stallone doesn't draw any longer - a 6-digit-opening is easily possible I think, but I can't see it reach 200k OW. Also opening: Ad Astra (very little buzz, going by presales this might miss 100k) and as the dark horse, Downton Abbey which I'm completely unfamiliar with, but it seems to have a real fanbase which might lead to a strong opening (presales good!). Also opening: The Kitchen and domestic teenager drama Systemsprenger. So, we might see a weekend with 5 releases >100k despite the sun (realistically, 4, but let's hope) - the question remains why the distributors didn't release one or two of them a week earlier but what do I know … 3

IndustriousAngel
Well, there were no "Golden Tickets" (or other ones) in the 80s since the whole Golden/Platinum/Diamond Ticket startet only in 2007. As to the "Sissi"-movies, I only know that each of them had at least 20mil admissions in German-speaking regions, the 2nd one close to 25mil. (those were the times ...) I hear before 2007 FMAM have another kind of certification, here is WIKI https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Ticket . I wanna update Austraia 1982-1998 popular film admission, can you give me some suggestion?
IndustriousAngel
older numbers are extremely hard to come by (apparently they had a different contract with Rentrak than other countries) but you might try the Austrian Film Institute office@filminstitut.at
