Because SW is not just a franchise, it is much more than that : It changed the industry forever, it was the first blockbuster, and it is more dynamic today than never before. Don't you even have the curiosity to wonder why there are such a large and dedicated fan base? These modern films you love wouldn't exist if SW wasn't released...SW4 was the first blockbuster. Nobody asks you to like SW or to watch the 3 movies, but the fact that you refuse to even watch SW4 to improve your knowledge and understanding while happily boasting about your ignorance is painful to watch, particularly for someone your age. Napoleon never watched the Back to the Future trilogy and watched it last week : He loved it, he tried and was rewarded. I won't tell you to try, do whatever you want, I just tell you you should, for your sake.
