After Nightmare Alley, biggest competition for the arachnid would be Moonfall on Feb 3, Death On The Nile on Feb 10 and Uncharted on Feb 17. Imagine if it's still in the Top 10 by then, apparently streaming will start from Feb 28!

It'll be curious to see. Nightmare Alley starts low on screen count; probably $1M-$1.25M for the weekend.

In the Cinépolis cinemas I checked today, Nightmare Alley and NWH are not that far in number of shows. Scream is keeping most of the high-end theatres, but Spidey should pass 1.550B by the weekend.

The surprise is Belle holding all IMAX shows. I can only think of the latest Dragon Ball and Demon Slayer as animes that got IMAX releases

• Toy Story 3 lasted for over 11 years in the Top 10; don't think Avengers is going to hold that much
• Heck, The Exorcist re-release did $88M back in 2000. The original run must've been massive.
• I gotta believe local studios fudge movies to cross $100M because there a lot of them that *barely* passed it
• Sad we won't get from 1994-1997; would've been interesting to see those early years

Inflation must help of course. The next movie only needs 12M admits to join Top 10. Doctor Strange or Lightyear must kick out FF7 and make it 6 out of Top 10 or 4 out of Top 10

But it'll be easier to break the stat this year, The Batman could make it; it needs less than Batman v Superman and a 30% increase from TDKR. Avatar 2 obviously and it only need to increase 18% from original. Jurassic World is even easier since both previous ones where constant with nearly 14M each.

Like, you could never imagine a Toy Story movie have more admits than Endgame and NWH in almost any other market.

Pixar is already huge. Nothing comes close in animation; Illumination kinda does it but it relies on a single franchise. It's way easier for Pixar to have 4Q hits.

I would say TS is like Star Wars for US/CAN or Bond for UK but don't know how much those ones still draw younger audiences compared to Toy Story which remains huge even for new generations in here.

It keeps amazing me how compared to other markets Titanic wasn't that much outstanding but looking internally was just massive; holding that admissions record for 11 years. And a wonderful 9x multi. I think there are only a few $100M+ grossers to have better legs like Parasite
