Purple Minion
Anemic weekend before the madness. Encanto repeats at #1, $4M total, which means West Side Story bombed. House of Gucci reached $2.6M.

Carlangonz
Waiting for full schedule to be released at MTC1. Probably it'll be up until tomorrow but three major cities urgently need it since OD is pretty much done in several locations. Pre release weekend bump benefited Thu and Fri sales. MTC2 update will come until tomorrow as well and I'm expecting it to fully surpass EG's sales in all but two markets. Monterrey (2nd largest market) is quite concerning because is barely half from EG but given how well the city is performing at MTC1 I'm only expecting MTC2 to get all the spillover from walk-ups. I'm just hoping that none of their systems fail tomorrow as they did hours before Endgame. 1
Purple Minion
West Side Story sold just 35,000 tickets, opened at #9 with less than $150K. Yikes. On the other hand, Clifford The Big Red Dog zoomed to #2 after last week's previews. Sing 2 is a new entry at #4, advanced previews as well. Eternals passed $15M. Ghostbusters:Afterlife at $5.7M. According to @MxTaquilla in Twitter, Spiderman: NWH has sold over 3 million tickets ($12M) in pre-sales. 5
Purple Minion
Latest forecast from @MxTaquilla: 350-400M lc ($16M-$19M) 4-day OW, 500-550M ($23.5M-$26M) lc 5-day OW. If it reaches 550M lc it will become the highest grossing movie of the year. Quote Esperamos que en 4 días haga $350-400M, sin problemas será el mejor debut del año y entraría en el top 5 histórico. En 5 días esperamos que logre $500-550M, si hace $550M en sólo 5 días sería la película más taquillera del año en México. @Carlangonz, how's your numbers looking like? Just check all these shows tomorrow in Cinépolis Perisur, I think the whole complex will be showing Spidey! 1

Monterrey (3rd largest market) underperforming big time. It's not only under EG but also under IW. Same case as Veracruz (12th largest market). Mexico City and Metro Area (Largest market), Juárez and Toluca (Top 10) are way ahead of EG. Remaining 7 out of Top 12 markets are lagging below Endgame but above Infinity War. Now, the biggest difference is non-sold out shows that are above 50% in sales which are above both EG and IW. Those are above 2,500 now compared to less than 1,800 for EG. Sony for some reason is going low on screens (compared to EG, IW and even TS4) but they should answer to walk-up demand. Let's try for 2.35M admissions OD and 9.7M for full 5-Day frame. $7.5M+ OD/$32M 5-Day at today's ER 3 1
Carlangonz
Cinépolis selling like a beast. If I had to guesstimate I'd say over 85% of shows for OD at three major markets are sold-out by now based on numbers from South, Downtown and Metro Area of those cities. 2

Unless it totally deflates, 1 billion lc (about $50M) should be a given. Not sure how high it will go, too many variables. In favour: I'm reading that reviews and word of mouth are stellar; not real competition. Against: COVID may create a massive front-loading effect; December is not traditionally a month for juggernauts; ER is the lowest in months. It ended with 59 shows so it'll likely cross $1.1M and 10.5k seats. Gross includes IMAX, 4DX and VIP/VIP Onyx x shows.

Carlangonz
Strong walk-ups, including markets that underperformed in PS. Two of the cities outperforming EG have nearly sold-out for the entire day so they're opening new shows. Mexico City doing so as well.
