Anyone But You opened to $1.33M but had killer legs for a $8.25M total; let's see if This Ends With Us reaches 100M lc.

Purple Minion
Yikes, Borderlands opened to about $300K, 5.7M lc. The re-release of Prisoner of Askaban grossed more!

Carlangonz
AUGUST 8-11 WEEKEND. 1. Deadpool & Wolverine - $62.8M/$716M (-56.33%) 2. It Ends with Us - $49.6M 3. El Candidato Honesto - $34M 4. Despicable Me 4 - $23M/$763M (-39.31%) 5. Trap - $16M 6. Late Night with the Devil - $11.1M/$41.2M (-47.14%) 7. Inside Out 2 - $6.2M/$1,861.3M (-53.38%) 8. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Re issue) - $2.4M/$6.2M (-14.29%) 9. Borderlands - $5.7M 10. Harry Potter and the Phisopher's Stone (Re issue) - $1.6M/$4.6M (-20%) Strong weekend all around. It Ends with Us is the obvious standout as it opens on par with The Fault in our Stars' 3-Day back in 2014; and aims to finish somewhere around $150M. On the other hand; El Candidato Honesto also grabs the highest opening of the year for a local release and the second best since pandemic times after Radical. It's looking to become the $100M local grosser of the year. Trap dissapoints opening below last week's Late Night with the Devil despite a higher screen count and will likely end up on par with Shyamalan's previous work; Knock at the Cabbin. Harold and the Purple Crayon quickly lost its title as the bomb of the season to Borderlands which opens 40% lower than that one. Deadpool & Wolverine is still on route to $800M. At this point after release Thor started to hold sub-50% drops so those will make a difference on how high on 800s will place at the end. Despicable Me 4 is running pretty much on par with Rise of Gru at the same point so $800M are looking quite good. After securing all records; Inside Out 2 is now coming to an end to its legendary run after its biggest theater loss to date which will continue in coming days. 3
Carlangonz
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice tickets go on sale on August 22. It's very likely that will be the next $100M opener and $300M grosser. Buzz is stronger than that of other retro properties like Indiana Jones or Ghostbusters. Sadly Twisters got lost all its potentital due to fierce competition. Would've fared much better during April/May.

Carlangonz
Coraline well close to $50M. Could become the biggest non-Titanic re-issue ever. Another hit for animation's streak this year. 1
Carlangonz
Theaters expanding Coraline shows on Sunday. Could be a close call for No. 1 between it and Romulus. If Coraline wins would be the second time a re-release top charts after Titanic 3D in 2012. It Ends with Us looking to easily beat FIOS lifetime and $200M. One of the shockers of the year. 3 1
