Quigley
So why did Pets have so high admissions? Is the ticket price very low?
Purple Minion
Tickets for kids movies were on offer during the Summer, specially for Pets. But the talking critters really connected with this market, cheap or not, 10.8+ million tickets are a massive accomplishment, it's the 2nd most attended original movie ever! I think the dubbing helped, heard good comments about it. Weekly figures. Inferno is down 12% in lc from Angels and Demons, legs will be crucial but the forecast is not promising. Storks had again a great hold! Edited October 18, 2016 by Purple Minion
Purple Minion
Another weekend, another battle: this time it's the Ouija sequel vs animated local movie about the Chupacabras ... and the haunted board won by the thinnest of scares! Both movies will do well through the next 7 days thanks to Halloween / Día de los muertos. Inferno breaks into the yearly Top 40 but still lagging behind A&D, while Miss Peregrine is getting closer to 200M lc.

How well will Doctor Strange do since it has kind of the horror feel but with fantasy?
Purple Minion
It should theoretically do similar numbers in lc as Ant-Man (220-250M), specially if the humour/paranormal side gets exploited. Sci-fi has never been a massive draw, and it's going face strong competition this weekend.

Purple Minion
Cinepolis shows it as opening tomorrow, along with The Accountant, local horror movie Km 31.2 and the Queen of Katwe. Doctor Strange seems to be having great weekdays, but Trolls should win the weekend - it has 2 local pop starts dubbing the main characters! Purple Minion
ER is awful, but in lc Dr. Strange is doing as expected (even slightly better) for a first character Marvel movie.
