The director is Adrian Molina (co-director on Coco). Sounds cool to me.
YM!
My god I’m so damn hyped for this! Pixar making a comeback.
Morieris
Elio etymology says the name is from Italy, means Aelious or Helios. Between Luca, Mario, and Elio, Italian representation in Western Animation is getting a boost.

Turning Red didn't sound awesome to me until there was more press about it a month before release.

cannastop
So is the exact release date March 1st, 2024, or is wikipedia wrong? 🤔
cannastop
Yeah I'm getting unreasonably hyped for this. The concept seems cool and I like the art.

Disney's had a Pixar film staked there for a while. (I'm assuming Kung Fu Panda 4 shifts to April soon) Edited September 10, 2022 by cookie

It's simply too crowded in Q1, and being between a Pixar movie and Spider-Verse 3 doesn't bode well for it. May also works since there's no family films between Spider-Verse 3 and Inside Out 2 at the moment. cannastop
Someone pointed out that this dude main character looks like someone from the background of Turning Red and that's about right.

cannastop
March 2024 seems a bit crowded... Elio Kung Fu Panda 4 (This seems like a weak link) Godzilla and Kong (another weak link) Mufasa (The Lion King Part II) (I don't really know how this will do)(EDIT: This is wrong, Box Office Mojo is wrong) OK actually some Disney Snow White movie will be in March instead lol Spider-Verse 3 (Going to have to wait to see how the second one does) All in successive weeks. I will bet Elio will be the biggest success of them all though. Just have a feeling. Edited December 21, 2022 by cannastop
