This ended up feeling like a much weirder film than X. Definitely liked X more but still enjoyed this. Ti West has a great ear for character and dialogue that makes his films very easy to watch. Mia Goth gives probably one of the best performances of the year here. The character has a lot of emotional range, from sweet, naive and a little off to completely dead inside and she nails it all and manages to make this murderous psycopath still sympathetic. Wasn't expecting the best part of a slasher to be a ten minute monologue but there you go.
