Indy looks quite popular in Japan. Never know this

Indiana Jones is like Matrix of 1980s Japan. It has extremely strong TV ratings (above 20~30%) without much drop on consecutive repeats (yeah unless recent years we are now on streaming era so TV broadcast are fading slowly)

Recent Ratings (2023)

Raiders of the Lost Ark (5/19) - 6.9%

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (5/26) - 7.1%

I can feel the agression between Live-action &Anime Film. Hopefully work like Top Gun Maverick &Jurassic World: Dominion will reduce the gap between them.

Live-action still need some kind of attention whether it's Imported or Local but either way not going well (though it's a bit better than last year)

Current Market for all categories is running 30% ahead of 2022 BO

I see $1 = ¥160 (Currently ¥145 for $1) A situation like Turkey &Argentina. I guess we won't recover at all to the level of Jan 2021 (¥102 for $1)

@The GOAT Need you inputs (╯︵╰,)

150 is the Bank of Japan's Cap. If it goes over, they'll start using their reserves ($1 Trillion+)

WBC ended it's run on THU being No.1 for the day.

Jones takes a huge loads of shows. Next being Tokyo Revengers. Now since demography is totally different I doubt PS would mean anything

For Tokyo Revengers, I doubt if it could do any numbers better than April One. I earlier do Remember how Rurouni Kenshin ended with two films being apart for a week. But, we are dealing with a drug case here. So I am not keeping hope at all.

Disney Forecast

¥8.0B ~ The Little Mermaid

¥5.0B ~ Elemental (A bit hopeful now, meaning D+ release will be late if honest)

¥5.0B ~ Jones 5

On the other hand, AKIRA is re-releasing for 35th Anniversary (4K Remastered Edition)

Is Disney really predicting 8B Yen total for TLM ? Seems optimistic. What do you think ? How were the week to week drops in Yen ? On the other hand, Sat is looking really good. Wonder if it'll have a 4th Sun bump. Probably not with the discount day.
