But Dragon 2 won't make Shrek2 numbers.

Who's saying that it will? However I think HTTYD 2 can become the highest grossing 2014 film domestically. And 500M+ OS is very possible if the marketing is done right. It might very well come reasonably close to Shrek 2's 919M WW.

There is still life in this one yet

But with CLOUDY2 opening one week later in UK,

this one may get hammered...badly. CLOUDY2

with its day-glo bright colors seem to be the

better looking choice for families.

    [*]DreamWorks Animation’s Turbo is streaking towards the $100m mark through Fox International following a $12.3m weekend haul from 2,611 screens in 20 markets that resulted in a relatively early $92m running total.

The animation scored a $9.8m number three debut in China on 1,500 screens and opened top in Australia and Israel on $1.4m from 482 and approximately $422,000 from 53, respectively.

Turbo saw a 20% bump in New Zealand and a 1% increase in Switzerland as the animated film posted a strong hold to bring in $5.4 million from 2,932 screens across 14 markets. Turbo also posted strong holds in Germany (-25%), Austria (-15%), and Norway (-14%). The film opened in third place in the Netherlands with an $811K take from 185 screens. Turbo has grossed $125.2 million overseas and $207.5 million worldwide, with openings in France and Sweden scheduled for the next couple of weeks.
