efialtes76
Weak opening is weak, 6.8M after fucking 25 markets and I can not say it weak ? WTF ... A Marvel Fanboy
Yup. WWZ OW in SK nearly $10M, WHD ? only $1.2M. Or 12% of WWZ. I can guarantee you WHD wont get WWZ legs everywhere. Assuming WWZ OS 400M, WHD does 15% of that, that is 60M OS for WHD you are looking for, on par with OHF. Too low ? Fine, fudge it to 100M OS or whatever you want. But do not forget it is a $150M budgeted Emmerich movie. I dont know what other words could be used to describle its performance if not "weak". Sure, you do not want to see "flop", and that is why I choose "weak". Being generous.

A Marvel Fanboy
WHD did $2.1m in SK,no 1.2m. You are right. Also for Sony, to coincide with its US bow, White House Down debuted in 25 markets for $6.8m from 1,225 screens. Highlights included a $2.1m opening in Korea and a $1.2m launch in Indonesia. Fine. Now $100M OS may be possible ... Edited July 1, 2013 by firedeep

Mike Branson
It's only in limited release in Israel. Will go wide next week. It's only in 10 markets not 25. Because the East African countries are consider one maket and that's also true for the West African countries. It was released on 3 more screens than the Internship, but made only a quarter as much.
