2015 Discussion Thread: Universal wins the calendar year | SW: TFA - biggest film domestic, 3rd biggest film worldwide

Yeah. That's a wildcard. I can only see around 400M at the moment, with 450M as high end.

I know expectations are high for summer 2015 films. But with that collection of huge films, I think they'll cannibalize each other. OZ: THE GREAT AND POWERFUL wouldn't have made more than STID if it was for summer. It's release date helped it a lot, something that will help FINDING DORY too. But then again, FINDING DORY making like what, 550 M - 600 M is almost impossible so maybe I'm just wishing lol.

Yeah, I see your point. So you were talking about winning WW too, not just Dom?

Excited for this! I KNEW Scooby would eventually return to theaters. Hopefully this isn't just proposal and this actually gets progress. They announced a new Looney Tunes movies last year, but we haven't heard anything since, and don't forget the Jetsons that was supposed to come out in like 2009...

Oh, didn't think about that. Possible too. You know one country can change everything. China or Japan right?

Yeah. Japan could be FD's biggest OS market. You never know with Japan though. Nothing's guaranteed. For example, LOTR did very well in Japan, but then The Hobbit dropped like a rock. But Pixar is a popular brand name in Japan, so I don't think Finding Dory will do badly, but it might not be as big as what we want or expect it to be.
