Olive
When is The Croods releasing? April 29th. Don't expect big numbers, orignal animated movies always don't do well here.

POLYLOVE
China's Dalian Wanda to Buy Odeon & UCI Cinemas Wanda will be a powerful player in Chinese movie market next year. They began making local movies already, local blockbusters with big budget. It's getting more interesting....

That gross figure is amazing for the genre. On the other hand, the gross for IP MAN FINAL FIGHT proves that the IP MAN sub-genre is wearing thin. AGDTD could have done closer to $50 million but I think Fox will take that. I see that DH5 isn;t distributed by Fox in China. How much does the local distributor have to pay for the rights? Wether if it can get back on screens remains unknown. Update: DU indeed has got cancelled release by CFGC. Still it managed to set two records in China: 1) lowest grossed imported revenue sharing film: box office RMB 25683 yuan with 716 admissions via 87 shows [midnight debut). 2) shortest screening time (got closed in less than 11 hours after midnight opening).
