POLYLOVE
PR what ? It dropped more than FF6 on first Monday. And nope, FF6 wont sail past MOS. It will be gone from theaters on Thursday. 180M 3-days opening, less than 400M finish. Worst legs ever in history. FF6 10% screens count left on 8.8. Maybe 5% left over the weekend. POLYLOVE
I haven't seen any movie gone from theaters from 10% to 0%.
POLYLOVE
This reminds me of everyone saying MOS couldn't surpass STID last month....history repeated. Edited August 6, 2013 by POLYLOVE
A Marvel Fanboy
FF6 10% screens count left on 8.8. Maybe 5% left over the weekend. Or maybe 3% ... Doesnot really matter. Audience will flock to new releases.
A Marvel Fanboy
This is what I can see about PR at the moment: Mon 30m Tue 30m Wed 18m Thu 10m Fri 11m Sat 15m Sun 13m 127M 2nd week, -54% drop, 407M cume Or: Mon 30m Tue 30m Wed 20m Thu 12m Fri 13m Sat 18m Sun 15m 138M 2nd week, -51% drop, 418M cume Another 50ish% weekly drop, or 60~70m week, will give it cume of 467M ~~ 488M after 3 weeks. After that, it will struggle its way to 500M for the rest two weeks of its five weeks run. So 500M $80M may happen and may not happen. Hard to say at the moment. We will see. You must be joking...18M on Sat? down 70%+?? MOS's second weekend dropped 55% from OW by only 16% screens.
POLYLOVE
So PR can't even beat MOS's second weekend with more screens??
POLYLOVE
MOS's second Saturday gross: 24M.

Because MoS first Saturday was not as high as 70M. And MoS 2nd Saturday didnt have four new releases (only one). Anyway, we will see. A Marvel Fanboy
So PR can't even beat MOS's second weekend with more screens?? FF6 2nd Saturday (21.5M) also didnt beat MoS 2nd Saturday (24M) with much more screens (24% VS 16%), despite much higher first Sat (66m VS 50m). what do you say .. A Marvel Fanboy
I think those ROM COMS are going to hurt PR, girls are going to drags their guy friends out to see them. ROMCOMs are the most popular local films right now. They are on fire this year. Local tentpoles in this genre already get scheduled from coming Chinese VD to next year's VD. POLYLOVE
Not really ... Tiny Time, the ultimate fangirls Chinese movie, dropped like a rock. Actually I'm thinking the most of one-star ratings from Douban and Mtime are contributed by fanboys. They really hate the movie....
A Marvel Fanboy
Actually I'm thinking the most of one-star ratings from Douban and Mtime are contributed by fanboys. They really hate the movie.... And 5 stars ratings came only from fangirls ... When TT was panned by critics, crazy fangirls really cursed the shit of those poor crtics. The media wars about TT, everywhere.
POLYLOVE
Yeah, the wars lead to bad legs for TT. China are really full of bunch of crazy people...including critics.

Critics pan didnt cause the bad legs. Poor quality and market positioning did. Teen girls driven movies usually have poor legs.
