Mojoguy
Is it true that the first Cap didn't even open in China? http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?page=intl&id=captainamerica.htm Edited April 5, 2014 by Mojoguy
Alex Bennett
Is it true that the first Cap didn't even open in China? http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?page=intl&id=captainamerica.htm In 2011, It made around 10m+ in September when the market is at the coldest bottom. The reason why it didnt show up in the CA page is because mojo suddenly stopped updating chinese boxoffice in August after HP7.2 was released. And it stayed that way until 2013 May when I wrote a complaint letter to mojo demanding them to have weekly boxoffice updated since China has become the biggest foreign market
A Marvel Fanboy
The official ticketing system is still not fully backup, so no official/actual Friday numbers, thus no solid Saturday estimates as well. But let's just assume it was 62m Fri, then Saturday should be around 96m. So 62+96+90=248m OW $40M, perhaps. Saturday overall probably just 140m due to new releases underperformed. Peabody dropped one third due to big screen count cut.

A Marvel Fanboy
This weekend's China BO numbers is about as accurate as Nikki Finke's Friday early report ... With every source blinded in dark, it will be interesting to see what kind of "studio estimates" Disney make up this time. Take it with a grain of salt bigger than usual.
